    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Ok... so, I'm planning a trip to Ft Carson/Colorado Springs to see my kid. I have the route out that way mapped out. And I'll be working out the route home tomorrow... but I have a couple questions for while I'm there. Figured I'd ask some locals.

Would like to do Black Bear Pass. I'm looking on maps and it's showing me 5.5 hours from the Springs to Black Bear Rd. My question is anyone have a recommendation for dispersed camping on the East end of Black Bear? Pretty sure it's not a good idea to start Black Bear mid day after driving from Colorado Springs lol.

Trying to figure out if this is even a doable option for this trip... also if it is, anyone happen to be thinking about running Black Bear mid August?

The name is a homage to the tv show on animal planet.. it's more about just sharing fishing adventures

There is very little dispersed camping available below 10,000' right now. Black Bear just opened last week. Mid-August the campers will start to thin out a little as some head back South to get their kids to school. Except for Labor Day weekend, Mid-August through September is pretty good.

Anyone know anything about these Sun-Lite campers? Can't seem to find much info online about them. This one is listed as "2002 Sun-Lite Eagle 6'-6" Pop Up" and I'm trying to determine if it will fit my long bed with the tailgate down, without driving 45 minutes to go measure it. Seller doesn't seem very determined to provide much info other than "Come look at it."

This shows overall length but you really need to know width and length to rear of the wheel-well cut out on the camper then same for after.. couldnt find much else

    Dog, camper.
It'll fit a 6' bed with a bit of overhang, Camper has it's own taillights.
but before you decide to ride with the tail gate down, be sure you can get to the spare tire.
Might be better to lose the gate.

My parents have one similar to this. If it's for a full size, which I think it is, I'm thinking it doesn't fit between the wheel wells of a Tacoma.

It's seriously insane. I'm trying to buy now so it's all sorted for the winter, and any "good deal" is gone in less than 24hrs. It's wild.

It was like that when I got my Camper back in 2013, the used market moves unreal fast.

thought about selling mine for that very reason. But when I bought it, I told myself I was just gonna keep it when I got bored because I'd be at it again eventually. My storage is 1. covered and 2. Free. :bananadance:
