In all the 19 years i owned my tundra it never let me down for the nearly 300k miles i owned it. Long as there was gas available that truck went....and boy did it like gas.

I looked at the Ranger and Tacoma both when I started truck shopping a few months ago. I had a F-150 for the past 17 years, bought a 2003 back in February of 2003 and while the first 3 years of ownership went fine the 14 years since showed it to be the POS edition as every time I turned around something was broke or needing replaced. Ranger was still on my radar up until June of this year when my started on the F-150 went out again. This would make the 3rd one in only 106k miles. Ford dropped off my screen right then. Very pleased so far with the Tacoma I found.

The ranger rake is a little extreme for me. I’m a fan of rake.

My last car was a 2017 Mustang GT and it's gonna take a whole hell of a lot from a Ford product to get me into another.

Only have 8k on my Ranger but so far has been more reliable than my 3rd gen with no issues. Also way more fun to drive and way cheaper then the Tacoma. The only things I like better on the Tacoma is the front end clearance is better, way better looks, and better storage in the cab and bed. Really looking forward to the Bronco and next gen Ranger which will both have the 2.7 V6.

I see a 2.7 TT Ranger Raptor w/about 350hp, 450 lb ft torque in the future. If they butch up the looks a little, it will be home run.

Agreed it looks like ford did not put much creativity in the design of the truck. It just looks basic like a mid size car

I was reading the other day Ford said that they are offering from the factory HP Increases for the Ranger to 315 and 370ft/lbs, fox shocks, arb bumpers.

Yeah, the Ranger is actually a pretty old design (2011) and had a cosmetic refresh in 2015. I think for such an old design it is 'OK' but compared to something newer it looks well, old and boring. The Taco pretty much kills every mid-size (any-size?) truck in looks. By a long shot.

700 bucks gets you the Ford Performance tune with those numbers.

    2021 Ford Ranger Raptor

MSRP to be determined, Interweb chatter says about $45,000 and will have a built 2.3 four from the recently discontinued Focus RS (for packaging purposes)

Looks wise, I don't mind the front end of the Ranger, but that back-end looks hideous to me. Something about the extra tall bed sides & tailgate doesn't match well with the front. Even the font on the tailgate "Ranger" stamp looks weird. Being an AccessCab guy myself, the long bed version of the Ranger looks extra ugly.
