    I think it depends on what you are looking to do. Are you prepping for the boogaloo? Then yes. If you are just thinking home defense, then you wouldn't have time to put it on in the event of a home intruder.

    Are Americans allowed to possess ceramic plate vests? I used to cast them when I was younger and they were illegal to own due to the advantage you'd have over the police.

    In my state it is legal as long your not committing a crime with it or a convicted felon. I would check state laws before you purchase.

    Kinda the same deal with night vision and IR lasers. Legal to posses certain classifications but illegal to sell. That said, you can easily find level 4 rated plates for sale and can posses them legally

    Not practical for my end goals, so I choose not to own it. If my plans were to be like wolverines (either movie) then this would be a great purchase.

    In guerrilla warfare, I’m going to agree with you. Home defense...nah.

    About 6 months ago I had a failed home invasion. They didn’t care about the 103 lb German Shepard that about tore down my door. They did care about the AR though.

    Agreed 100% tho i prefer the shotgun vice the AR. i dont run home defense style ammo in my M4.

    I've got a plate carrier and level 4 plates front and rear for work. Stays in my truck except for a couple days when I have to wear it, other wise its just close by in the event I need to respond and it can be on in seconds. I live out in the country with good ole boys up and down both sides of the road out shooting everyday, so I'm not too worried about SHTF situations yet cause if someone/group was stupid enough to try to riot, ransack, break in, it'd be worse than a turkey shoot lol. (not advocating shooting people over property) But anyway, I'm still working on getting the carrier set up to a way I like it, all in all I'd definitely recommend body armor cause this world has gone crazy and only getting worse.
