Are you replacing the trans fluid as well?

Wasn't planning on full replace of fluid, just topping off while bleeding after done with ADM. I also have suspected that my pedal issues might be related to mechanic that replaced clutch for me didn't bleed correctly or something. Don't know for sure but wouldn't be surprised to deal with lots of air when I bleed line. Better to have extra fluid and not need it...
    We'll see.

What is the MT-90 for then? That for inside the transmission. The clutch on the Sport shares fluid from the brake master reservoir.

I was just curious since it looks like you have gear oil there in the pic and thought you might be putting that into the MC reservoir. That would be no bueno.

Oh right haha I grabbed trans fluid rather than dot3 brake haha damn thanks for catching that before I made a mistake! One track mind focusing on clutch project so grabbed manual trans fluid from toolbox automatically haha

Hey just curious, do MT off-road models not share brake fluid? Have their own fluid or something?

All good! And I admittedly do get a kick out of the "I accidentally fucked up my truck" threads that pop up from time to time but you probably wouldn't want to have to post one of those. The guy who shot his truck last week-ish was a fun one for sure.

    Whew!

The MT-90 is good stuff, if that helps with the issues that you are seeing. It has done good things for me on two other transmissions.

Hopefully the ADM gets you on track.

Yes. For some reason, the ORs and Pros have a separate clutch reservoir. They also have the special electric-assist brake booster.

Oh damn I had no idea. Yet another difference between sport and off-road models that dealerships don't tell you. I'll be honest; the hood scoop wasn't worth it haha! Would have loved having locking diff just in case. At least MT sport gets bigger axle unlike auto sport.

I would have liked the locker also, but since we don't get the ACLB MT OR, the choice was made for me.

Yeah. The Skewp is not my favorite part. I thought about a hood swap for a while.

In the end, I have no real regrets with the Sport. Just a decent mod list.

Yeah same. I like the look but to be honest I didn't have any intentions of flexing my suspension when I bought mine, just for work around house etc. Then I went on a trail with friends and immediately fell in love with 4Lo haha
Now I'm like "I should have gotten an automatic OR" heh. It's still a solid truck. If I still end up selling her to go full size, I'll be very sad. But probably end up getting Tundra OR and put a million miles on it!

Also, just fyi for everyone following thread because of clutch issue. I logged back in today to look back at this because yet another owner informed me they had same issue. I'm a Facebook group earlier today. He has a 2019 OR with 25K miles and his clutch just started slipping bad.
Just a heads up I keep hearing from more and more people that have a similar experience.

The trails can be addictive. ATs have their negatives also. A few posts about overheating the fluid on trails and the 3.909 gears being a PITA.

    Everything has a fix though.

If you are having issues with 4Lo and 1st gear on the trails near you, I am not sure if the larger Tundra will help? Around here, a full size is more of a liability since most stuff is Jeep width.

This is not too cool to hear. Just rolled into 17k on my manual and of course lifted w/ bigger tires. Crossing my fingers and toes that I have better luck than you unfortunately did.

You do understand that because the fittings on that autozone tube aren't sleeved like the OEM fittings, you will likely have leaks unless you are one of the select few to set the threads just right and the luck of a Leprechaun.

    And...Good luck.

I looked into that from the main thread and the other thread that details info on the double/inverted flare vs bubble flare, it said you want the inverted flare and that's what I got. Are you saying they're wrong and the bubble flare is the right one?
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/19751480
If that's the wrong part, do you have an answer for what I should be using? Or do you just tell people what they're doing wrong without trying to help?

Dude, I have referenced this several times in numerous threads and have in fact had this discussion with you as well as others in other threads. The tube nut fittings (the threaded parts with the 10mm hex bolt heads) are not sleeved on the end and therefore will not seat in the release cylinder like the OEM fittings. The kits I build and sell (over 400 built now with no leak issues) have the correct fittings.

How do I know this? Trial and error. I did the same thing you did the first time I made one. Went to the zone and picked up parts and did the mod. A week later, the clutch pedal went to the floor and didn't come back up and there I sat, in traffic, unable to move.

Sometimes, listening to people who have extensive experience on a certain subject pays off. You should try it some time.
