Switched to a iPhone from a Samsung the schoche charger wouldn’t hold the phone good. Switched it out with a pitaka seems to be holding good so far.

Way more magnets in this system that seems way more sturdy than the scoshe mount. Did you use the same arms mounting plate behind the new pitaka vent mount ?

Nope didn’t need to use the back plate. Used this

    ARKON 25mm Ball to 17mm Ball... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZXRSST?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

it sticks out further than the other charger that’s why the ram arms are pointed to the sides more. Waiting on a smaller usb c cord the one it came with is huge.

I did have to buy a specific case for the iPhone that isn’t very protective but is very minimalist which is what I like.

Can the vent mount be removed for an arms plate possibly to be more sturdy ?

there are no screws to take it apart like on the scosche and it’s also rounded slightly don’t think the ram plate will sit flush if you did get it apart. But with the vent mount taken Off and the 25m to 17mm it feels ole ty sturdy.

You using the metal 1 inch ram arms or composite ? I figured the metal would be more heavy duty and the weight isn’t too different

Purchased the pitaka case and mount. Love the mount and the case isn’t bad either thank you for the info man!! I’m thinking about purchasing a phone case that has magnets inside of it such as a mous case or something. Wondering if the magnets inside of the phone case would magnetize better to the mount for a stronger hold or just push away from the magnets haha. Possibly worth 50 for the test haha

I tried my old android case on the pitaka and the fit wasn’t good the phone kept falling off on bumps.

Hit a couple pot holes and the pitaka case holds on the pitaka mount pretty well honestly but this is just about the thinnest case possible and I’m worried about drop protection more than anything else
