    well i dont have a bumper...yet.

i was thinking some 600 or 650# eibach/king springs (eibach makes 2, 2.25, and 2.5 ID, king makes 2.5) from Poly on some 5100s.

Would be running the shox on the stock setting at first, then maybe bump it up one..depends on how much lift the springs give.

Now I gotta figure out what length to get :annoyed:

    no idea.

from what i'm reading, a 600# spring on the 5100s doesn't work well. might go for the 550#

OME doesn't make 550# springs for first gens. 880s, 881s, and 882s are all 500#.

    yup.

but the TRD springs are around 520#, and the OMEs are 500#. I don't want to run a softer spring without a sway.

Dont want adjustable COs, as after one winter here they'll become non adjsutable.

Right, the length changes, which is how those springs do the lifting action. But they're still 500# springs, which are softer than what I have right meow. I want a firmer spring since I'll be taking the sway off.

882s are too much on a tacoma without winch + bumper.

plus, if my logic is right, a longer spring wont help with body roll.

    either 4x or custom.

winch probably wont be for awhile. that college thing.

i want my junk set up to give ~2" of lift at the 0 setting on the 5100s, then when I add the bumper, i can bump them up to the first ring...like 1" or something.

If I was keeping my sway bar, I'd just get the wheelers kit.

But I'm not, and I want firmer springs so there isn't as much body roll.

    you get my concern right?

i've read a lot of people over on TTORA say that with COs (that have 600+# springs) and no sway they can hardly tell the difference compared to with the sway, which is why I'm being stubborn and saying that I want a firmer coil than what the 881s are.

thats the entire reason i moved to the stairs.

i walk down the hallway and it sounds like a bunch of helicopters were inside, so i took my shit to the quiet part of the house.
