Wow! Totally unacceptable on a new install with cams that are not frozen. Agree with @hoarder23, they need to pay for that mistake

How the FUCK?! You’d have to TRY to bend that by hand with a damn wrench. That’s straight messed up, make them pay for the repair asap!

Impact to tighten the cam bolt up. Same thing happened to mine sometime between the LCA install and the LCA Brace install a month later. Not sure if I did it on the install, the alignment crew at Firestone did it or if I bent them in the 2 trips I took off road in between.

an inexperienced tech did an early alignment on my truck before the mod days and stripped the cam bolt threads. punkass didn't tell anybody and i still hope i don't cross paths with this kid again. it took several shop visits to fix and eventually the entire front end came apart to uncover it. took weeks, towing, and way way too much cash. slightly different story but similar enough, get that shop to step up while this is a recent thing. my story is a painful read, don't bother but here it is: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/align-s-good-crazy-pull-to-r-not-the-tires.569048/

I went back and showed manager. Tech had gone home already. Manager wants to talk to tech and will give me a call. Doesnt sound very concerned. :annoyed:

Go over your paperwork that you signed to get it done. There maybe be a clause that you didn't know about that doesn't hold them liable. I'm guessing that the tech is either 1. not going to fess up to it, or 2. completely lie and state that it was fine after they did it and it happened after you left the shop. The manager is making light of it because he wants you to calm down and not think its a big deal. Well it is. Keep respectful but keep that fire burning about it. Definitely go with either the TC Gussets or the marlin Gussets. They will try to put a band aid on a broken arm and do your best to not let that happen.

A reputable shop would have the manager call that tech. Service could be rushed due to the lack of desire to work as an essential worker

First your alignment bolts were installed upside down and now they did this to your tabs !!! I would get your $ back and run far away from that shop. I would be hesitant to let these clowns make the repair.

Update: They have a Total Chaos gusset kit on the way. I get to pick my welder to do the job. At least they are making right with all this. Still sucks. Haha
