I did that. I was working midnights and I'd come home and worked into the early afternoon. I woke up around sunset and completely freaked out thinking it was sunrise....got half way to the car before realizing it was too hot for sunrise. I did not miss a night of work.

I noticed my friends at GL, Giant Loop, are marketing their gas bladder bags to the overland community these days. They've got another tire mount bag that's worth looking at too. Harold has been doing this for a long time, mostly in the adventure motorcycle touring market which is how I met him and end up with a couple of his bags (a tank bag and something called "Great Basin" that's for packing your gear). Good stuff. Given them a look if you're at all interested.

I'm just passing this along because it's a good product (it is NOT meant to store gasoline in, just transport it-lord knows my 990 barely has 5 gallons of fuel and I'd be lucky to go 200 miles on that...).

Not enough to have a build thread.
I only know auto AC but if this were a vehicle I'd be looking at the expansion valve or a pressure sensor not cycling properly. I'd have to do more research on your particular unit to find out. Lines, and by association your evaporator, freezing over are either because the expansion valve isnt opening and closing properly or the compressor isnt shutting off when it's supposed to. At least in the auto world

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Like you said, either a bad blower motor (or too small for what its trying to push), low coolant... might not have put enough in or a small leak happened over the past year, or you have a bad drainage line. Check the drain tubes and see if moisture is coming out.

Drainage is a big deal. But also, in the 2G, the condenser hose comes through the grill a bit and it will usually leak from there. Pinhole kind of leak. Look at the condenser and if you see a black mark near the tubing, it could be leaking from there-not really a good design in my opinion.

Any recommendations for a window tinter in the Rocklin/Roseville/Folsom/Auburn area?

Willing to pay for expertise, top quality products, and install. Do not want a dark tint just looking to reduce UV rays and heat.

    Some really cool shit
So, if anyone is still following along, here's what happened today.

Jumped in the truck headed for Livermore Toyota to piss and moan about crappy service. Got there and went straight to the Service Manager. Told him the whole story. He tells me that he agrees that the destruction of the skid is unacceptable. If I give him a receipt for the skid, he'll reimburse me. Now, I can find the receipt for the three bumpers I have bought from @RelentlessFab @RelentlessFabrication but can not find one for the three skid plates. Bought as a set. Called and left Eric a message. Hope he can help out here. Then we move on to the noises still coming from the truck, that were nearly the same as when I brought it in initially, three weeks ago. But worse. A mechanic and I go for a drive. We are able to reproduce the noise I'm hearing, several times. We go back to shop. He takes the mechanic who previously worked on the transmission with him for a ride. They reproduce the noise. Take it back to shop, put it on the rack. After a few minutes they come get me, and take me back in the shop. Show me what they think is the noise. The freaking brand new drive shaft bearing is shot. There is all kinds of play at the bearing. I agree that could be the problem. Tell them I'll take it back to Southbay Driveline and get that taken care of and see if it solves the klunky noise issue. If not, they say bring the truck back.

Now, as for them cutting away the skid; I needed to know if the mounting points were usable. I looked this morning before going in to find this (see photo below). They are not captive nuts. It is a threaded section of the cross member that supports the two LCA mounts. So, I guess I'm semi fuqqed.

Additionally, to really pic nits, the driver side weather tech mat is hosed. I show them that, but it is not discussed later. I know this wasn't fuqed up when I brought the truck in because I washed the taco before taking it in. I would have remembered this, as I would have tripped over this getting in being the short guy that I am.

Leave Livermore Toyota for South Bay Driveline. Takes an hour. Would have been less but I can not believe how many fuqqed up drivers there are in the south bay. Holy shit, it was mind boggling how stupid some of those people are. They should not be on the road. I got stuck behind this broad who merged onto the free at 35 miles per hour. 35! Anyway, Steve looks at the bearing. Yep. Fuqqed. Shouldn't have happened. I need to remove from truck and he'll replace. No charge. Takes about two hours, he says. What a pain in the ass.

Now the question is, three weeks ago, when I first began to hear the noise, what that the driveshaft starting to go bad, and not the transmission. And if so, did Livermore Toyota replace the transmission for nothing? And now that I have a remanufactured transmission, and I better off, or worst off not having my factory original transmission with 62,000 miles?

So, if anyone has an idea how to fix, or replace those stripped out holes so I can put a new skid in front, please, let me know. E467C4FF-219F-4D47-A996-C7923AB676FB.jpgDFEDA90A-445D-4607-A20D-49A92F689ECC.jpg3F7B3911-A6D9-44D5-87AA-EB0FE01C0198.jpg
