What a nightmare. 2 years in and I want to flee to Mexico.

Marriage sucks. Why oh why do people even bother?

Because the Taco isn’t a good lover?

I suggest you two visit a marriage counselor and see where things went wrong. You liked them enough to get married in the first place, right?

I dodged a bullet with one lady.

    But being single also sucks.

If you can work it out, that is the better option. If not, that's just the way it goes sometimes.

People get married for all sorts of reasons. People stay married if they get married for the right reasons... and if the people can deal with the inevitable changes in one another. Many people can't do that... my ex-wife, for example.

I may be dodging a surface to air missile. Being single is wonderful. I could get company if I wished it, otherwise I did what I wanted and enjoyed my own company.

It’s been good and bad the whole time. We’ve seen a counsellor etc. The usual stuff.

I've been pretty solitary pretty much my whole life, so finding company isn't easy. Thats why being in a relationship did kick ass before it went south. Now that I'm on my own, even I get tired of my dad jokes.

Been married once. Never again. I have told every girl I have dated since that it’s not something to expect from me. I won’t cheat, won’t step out, and will be 100% devoted. I won’t be getting married though

No freaking kidding. So many people I know are just having their worldview broken. Turns out life isn't all kittens and rainbows.

I have a 9 year old son from a previous relationship that I’ve raised on my own since he was 2. Was single (but dating) since then, until I met my wife.

People get divorced all the time, nothing to feel guilty about. Staying in a toxic relationship is worse for everyone if things can’t change.

And who knows, maybe you’ll learn a lot about yourself through the pain

You’re already halfway out the door. Be a decent human and remove yourself the rest of the way.

27 years, 34 together overall. Money, critically sick kid, elder care and dementia, death (“natural”), sibling’s suicide, cancer...I can’t imagine facing any of it alone.

Marriage is the one thing in life that if you work hard at it, it pays you back.

Try again. Two years is still just the warm up.
