Where’d you buy the bed lights from?

 

Dealer just called me. Gotta love aftermarket parts. The external fuse panel cut into the brake booster wire and shorted out the brake system. It’s going to be a new wire harness, reprogramming the system and 3 hrs of labor and it’s out of my pocket. Just my luck.

 

Love it. Just love it.

 

Good info and pics. Perhaps others should know the manufacturer of the fuse panel mount so they can ensure this does not happen to them?

 

Hate to hear that and thank you for letting us know how the problem occured. Now knowing the problem is with the brake system. When you drove to the dealer, did you feel anything changed with the brakes? With the brakes being "Shorted out", thankfully you didn't loose the brakes driving to work.

 

Ditto this. I think it would be good feedback to provide. I just went out and checked on mine from PowerTrays and it sits well above that connector.

 

I built my own and mounted the relays on top of the fuse box in a project box and the fuse panel is beside with plenty of room for running the wiring.

 

Thats a pretty nice setup you got there. Unfortunate issue to have.

VGA cable provides the switching control for the 6x touch panel. The pic is during install. All touch controls are occupied and labelled now.

 

That's pretty cool. I hadn't seen a use for those cables in a long time

 

Label them for fun such as missile, eject seat, water spray, etc. So when someone rides with you and notice those labels, he/she gets nervous. Heheh.

My spouse drives the truck as well and she would be pushing the buttons ALL the time wondering why nothing is blowing up.

 

@Mr.Pink Taco Looks like my dashboard did when I put in that damned dongle on my rear view mirror for a dash cam.

 

My vibration was occurring on deceleration around 20 to 30 mph. The 2 degree axle shim fixed it. The vibration was caused by installing the AAL in the rear which gave me a 2 inch lift.

 

Yeah I can echo this... I love cool labels but on my 2nd gen I had a switch panel in the center console that had one labeled 'Sasquatch Lights' and for whatever reason every passenger that got in was obsessed with just flipping that switch while i was driving... which turned on my 50in light bar. Talk about unintentionally pissing off other drivers

My SwitchPro is on the driver's side where no one can even see it so maybe custom labels are back in play again.

 

lol.. you should explain to her that is a joke. For example, missile is light bar which shines far away, eject seat is scene lights on rack sides, you get the idea.

 

That would only work if it registered on the "things I want to remember my spouse told me" list. she still does not get the X-10 remote lighting I have had setup for years or which input the PVR is on for the TV.

 

I was worried about that exact situation. I cut that section of the panel off to prevent rubbing.
