Hey guys, I’ve got an 09 dcsb that I’ve had a whine/hum noise coming from when the ac is on, also noticed a power steering type whine when turning but only when the ac is on. Used a stethoscope and think the noise is coming from the compressor as the clutch doesn’t make any noise when the ac is off and sounds nice and quiet as do the idlers. Ac blows cold and not other issues or noises. I’ve bought a new clutch, compressor and tensioner and belt, is it worth doing all or just doing the clutch?

If I were going in for the clutch I would do the clutch tensioner and belt. Then see if I still have the whine, then make a decision about the compressor.

Do you hear this whine/hum when idling only or also when in motion?
