I have had onXoffroad for 8ish months after getting a free year, but honestly haven't used it.
I wish they would add support for Android Auto (and I guess Apple Car Play too), so I could use it on my headunit.
I've asked about this, but they keep giving generic responses, and don't seem to give two shits.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I've had OnX Hunt for 5 years or so, and I got OnX Offroad when it came out. I use the hell out of OnX Hunt... but haven't really used Offroad.

Trying to map out the details of Colorado and back and don't want to make the first test a trip like that.

GAIA is good... it's just being an f'n pain in the ass right now.

I think that is one of the biggest if not THE biggest complaint I have heard from everyone I see using it....the moment it will be compatible with carplay/android auto will be awesome.

I think I annoyed them by asking on every FB ad I saw (they just ran a promotion for an Independence Day sale), and I kept commenting about the lack of AA support. I now can't comment on any of their ads.

@MattJakobs it's not one of the spots you recommended but you know the relative area better than I do.

And also looking for input from anyone else in this thread. What about this spot right here?

    38.109742, -111.267472

It is almost exactly between Barstow and Colorado Springs (we're going to head out in the evening and stay in Barstow the first night)

Looks like a promising spot. Right of the Escalante Hwy too.

If it's anything like the road, it'll be beautiful and shouldn't be heavily trafficked. Definitely looking to hear how you like the spot assuming you stop there.

Interestingly enough, when I type directions in, it has me going in through the North. Same with you? Or planned on heading in through the South?

I'd be coming from the south through Boulder Utah.

It has me at 8.5 hours driving from Barstow to that spot. I wanted to stay at that Big Bend Campground, but the route I'm planning would put me at 11.5 hours to Big Bend... and there's nothing much really between Lower Brown and Big Bend/Arches/Moab.

Zion is on the agenda... Here is the actual route. Apperantly when you drag to re-route it doesn't save and defaults to the "fastest" route.

    This should be it.

Very nice, what parks are you planned on visiting?
Hope you're not claustrophobic for that Zion tunnel, it's a long one.

If your looking for a place to stay, you are driving right by Kodachrome Basin State Park.

It is an established campground with flush toilets and hot showers. A hot shower in the morning might be nice. We stayed there two nights and it was pretty awesome.

You would go out there via cannonville. I would make a reservation just to make sure you have a spot for the night.

That route brings back a lot of memories from our trip.

Ya, I've read from a bunch of sources that Arches can be wildly overcrowded. If it is, we'll just bypass it. The highway back to 70 (Highway 128 following the Colorado River) should be better than that stretch of 70 anyway.

yeah, it is stupid busy. We cut our visit to one day it just wasn't worth it to us. Not to mention it was the 7th straight day of hiking and we were just done.
