Be prepared for spontaneous venting the next couple months. I've spared you guys from my agent troubles this week. I've decided that whoever we're working with we need to drastically lower our expectations.

We've been talking about going somewhere over Christmas for years, we haven't because of our dog. He's gone now and we headed to the mountains for Christmas. Whatever the family does is up to them, we taking our kids away

 

When our dogs passed it was the most freeing experience. They were 15 and 16 and passed just shy of a year apart from each other. We love dogs but to be able to go wherever and not worry about if they can come with or whether they'd need to be boarded was so nice.

Don't blame you at all. Given that you're moving and will have plenty to do in the new place as well as get your Ca house sold is enough. Having to travel at Christmas time not knowing what things will look like in 5 months would be enough for me to say no for sure.

Small town vendors and contractors all seem to run on a MUCH different schedule than in bigger cities. Learned that living here and still amazed at their "I really don't give a shit" attitude about schedules, timelines or details.

 

Also I've been too productive this morning. I really need to stop before they see that I can take on a larger workload. Time to play music and dance rebelliously

 

At least he's doing something even if it is frustrating. Ours is seemingly looking for an appropriately sized hole to bury his head.
