The 2.7L Single Cab Thread

How do these trucks do in the winter? I just got my ‘09 4x4 RC in March and wasn’t able to test it out in the few snowstorms we had in spring. I’m coming from a 20’ long 2wd Silverado that did just fine (on road) because of its weight and length. So I’m just curious as to what to expect with basically the opposite situation.

 

Great in my experience. The biggest impact on winter and snow performance is tires. Won't matter what you drive if you're running bald tires. Put a decent set of winters on and you can get just about anywhere in all types of vehicles.

 

Did you delete the radio?

Does it still have A/C at least? A/C, heat, and a radio are the three things I could not live without!

 

I have heat and ac. I have a bluetooth control module plugged into my amplifier so I still have music from my phone

Hi y'all here is a shot of my 2014. I'm running a Rough Country 2" lift coilovers and 16" wheels off of a 2010 FJ with General Grabber AT2's. Absolutely loving the ride.

 

I put some lights on the rollbar but I think they look a little small. I didn't want anything too big, but these are around 4" x 6" and I'm thinking 5" x 7" or 6" round might look better.
