With 3 bikes at home I finally bought a Nomar/Cycle Hill tire changer so I no longer need to wait for a friend of mine to help by letting me use his or pay a shop to mount and balance tires for me. They had a pretty decent promo over the 4th so I ordered one. It arrived Sunday around 8pm, thanks Fed Ex, and I got it assembled last night. Borrowing a hammer drill and masonry bits at work today so I can mount it to my garage floor when I get home.

I love my FJR1300. That's why I need my own tire changer.......2 to 3 pairs per season will do that.

i could never ride a beach bike. Mountain bike or walk. Or skateboard like I used to when i was younger. I found an old one the other day. Almost died when I was trying to kickflip and I hit a pebble

I'm about to be house broke too so likely won't get another bike until early next year.... but can't make any promises if I start getting antsy before then and someone wants to buy the SV

Lol I'll make you a good deal :D

This is true, it wouldn't be hard to strip it down - just need a different headlight and swap the clip-ons for standard bars. But wanting to try something different so we'll see

Continental makes the 18" TKC80 in a rear tire. This guy just put it on the front. I might do that when the tires wear out. Or Ive been looking at Kenda Big Block or Shinko 705s :D

Nope. Just as long as you have some eye protection (goggles or glasses) per the VA MC law

I'll be interested to compare going from an R6 to a DRZ for insurance.

Speaking of which, you dual sport guys run collision? Also do yall run protective vests/jackets? Seen good reviews on Alpinestars Bionic Action Jacket and Fox Racing Titan Sport Jacket, Used to wearing my leathers for forever, and I have been out of the dirt since I was 19.

Doing a ton of research on gear since I won't be getting a bike for at least a month or two till my kid is born. Not having a bike in the garage is bumming me out though.
