I was commuting Fredericksburg to Quantico in a 6MT FRS. It got old quick, and was one of the main motivations for going AT with the truck. MT is fun on open roads. Not so much around here.

That's exactly what I'm doing, although I'm icing any current big mod plans until I make the decision. I have low enough miles on this that the trade in should be pretty decent and I won't be hurt too bad, so I wanna be smart about it to minimize any potential damage.

stay on the main trail and go until the landslide area and then turn around. taskers off shoot trails are more for ATVs so stay on the main trail.

depending on when you are all going i might join.

That's disappointing they would pick an existing color from a RAV 4. They were on a pretty good roll with their color choices over the last few years.

That's the way I did it last month as well. It looks steep until you do Flag Pole, then it seems kinda tame.

At one time, my Dad, I, my wife and my son were all teaching. I got frustrated taking up the slack for other RC's and getting paid the same. So was verging on quitting, then started skydiving and decided that was a much better use of a nice weekend. My son quit when he joined the FD. My Dad is one of the owners of MRC so he is still teaching.

Still haven't caught up on all the posts but read through the lawn mower discussion. Someone gave us a 1990 Toro Proline 44 inch mower about 4 years ago. It had a new engine but the blades wouldn't engage, and after replacing some of the electrical parts, we figured out it was the blade clutch. My son and I replaced it and it's worked great until recently; now the bridge rectifier heats up and shuts the blades off after about 10 or 15 minutes. I've replaced the bridge rectifier a couple times, even added a heat sink to it, but it still overheats. I haven't run an ohm test on the clutch to see if it's going bad again and causing it to overheat. Anyone have experience with bridge rectifiers and what may be going on?

At this point I'm willing to say it lived a good life and that we got our money's worth out of it. There's a Husqvarna dealer near our Airbnb out in Harpers Ferry. The Husqy's are supposed to be pretty beast and the big box stores get enough of my money, so thinking of getting the 42" zero turn (it's comparable to the Toro TimeCutter) to cut our 3/4 acre lot.

That's awesome! I taught the MSF course on weekends. It was fun, but it took up a lot of riding time.

Nice! Great snatch! Are you taking someone with you? I would. Unless the vibe you got was cool.

My wife and my peace maker will be with me. :) From his FB pictures, he looks like a young enlisted guy and he's in Round Hill, so I think it will be fine. Will be heading out that way to look at a Husqvarna zero turn in Harpers Ferry.
