What size tire and wheel do you have now? Nothing wrong with a good mud tire in a smaller size

Right now I have stock tires and wheels from factory. I think right now it's at 265/65/17, I don't remember off my head. I have to look at the tires to make sure. Maybe 265/70/17.

If you’re not lifted a 285/70/17 will rub. A stock size MT will do just fine for now till you’re a little taller

Here is what I am planning to add to my truck (not all at once.)

    Black wheels
    AT tires
    Maybe lift
Pop up tent with awning room (if not, I plan to carry ground tent instead, that way, I have room on the racks for kayaks.)
    Waterport
Molle panels in bed and in cab (considering)
8in PVC Pipe - 8 feet long for fishing rods.
Outdoor lights on topper rack for camping.
Scene lights on cab rack sides. (2 each side)

I have light bar for the front of the rack which will be installed before the Rush meet.

Let me know what you think.

I will look at the tires soon. I plan to get AT tires for road/light off road use. Then I get MT for extreme off road such as over the rocks/deep muddy trails..

If you plan to wheel but it’s also your daily, I’d suggest more of a hybrid tire. More aggressive than an AT but not a full blown MT. The copper st maxx is quite popular. Toyo open country r/t is good but pricey. I have Dick Cepek trail country exp and they’ve done great for me.

You already said you don't have the tools or knowledge to work on the truck. Will you have a shop swap wheels/tires every time you go wheel?

Ask me how I know, you're gonna hate doing that really quick. I did it, sucks.

We can discuss this more at the meet. Go wheel, camp out of the truck a few times and then determine what you want the truck to do. Build it accordingly.

I was talking about general tools or whatever the truck engine/underneath needs. But I have a tool for wheel lug nuts. That the truck came with including factory jack. I plan to get hi-lift as well if I get my truck lifted.

I have household tools such as screwdrivers/torx. That I did the rack installation with.

I have a friend who has machines in his garage to swap the tires on wheels but the problem is he lives far away.

I am trying to say is that I plan to get AT tires for stock wheels, then get MT tires for new wheels so I can swap wheels with my truck tool that came with.

    @dirty deeds

A friend who has 2 sets of wheels/tires which 1 set for normal road/trail use, other set is for winter. He's smart because he saves the aftermarket wheels from winter uses.. So he uses factory wheels for winter.

In my opinion the best items you can buy for these sort of group wheeling trips are

#1 - floor liners. No OEM rubber ones dont count.
    #2 - CB
#3 - air compressor. Get a tire plug kit too.

then tires, skids, sliders, lift, ect.

    Two words.
    Harbor Freight.
I understand what you're saying, somehow.
My point is that you're going to hate constantly switching out wheels and tires. Trust me! I did it not long ago!

Far as you getting a hi lift, completely pointless unless you have aftermarket bumpers and sliders. But, I'd sure enjoy drinking a beers and watch you try to jack up your truck with one and stock bumpers.

What you need for this trip:
Rubber boots, walmart has em cheap
    CB or HAM radio
Air compressor and tire patch/plug kit
Tires if you can afford them
    Food
    Shit to cook food
A sleeping vessel (tent or hammock) and associated sleep gear
    Beer
    Big ol set of balls

Any size. Just remove the fenders, beat the ever loving shit out of everything, remove the bed. 40s. Done.
