With the 4.0 4wd Ive gone thru a couple of rearmost u-joints.
Other than that just routine maintenance changes on the rest.

    "Vintage"
    "In original package"

Prepare for the thrashing or your life antlered jack!

Talk a look at it when it’s done. I just had mine done. It’s almost comical really. They coat the inside of the front of the frame with thick, white non-drying, non-permanent ook, then put a little plastic cap on. Problem solved. You can just wipe it off with a rag, and mine already coated with dirt and road grime. I thought it was going to be some sort of permanent fix. Nope.

I bought some "stubby" short antenna (probably off Amazon) and the reception for AM/FM was horrid..... I reinstalled the original one (what are they 2' tall?) and all stations were right back as they should be..... Good luck!

I’d be a proud dude too if I made it to Chief. Nothing wrong with that.

Was wondering about reception too. Thanks for the info. I’ll keep my regular one.

I have been looking for that shifter knob but cannot find one. I have a 2006. Does anyone know if they make one for that year. I only see them for 2013 and up.

I got them from Etsy. Word of advice if you do get them, get flat. I am ordering another set because with the domed, you can only get the outer edges of adhesive to stick to the center cap. Also, 105mm is perfect for the center caps I have. Here’s the link!

I'm considering mounting something on the bed near the cab, because I just don't love the look of it on the passengers side of the front fender......

I’m not certain, but I believe any shift knob that fits a 12-15 will fit a 05-11 model as well.
Google 2015 Tacoma TRD shift knob and you’ll stumble upon the one I purchased. There’s a slew of others as well. The one I have is made for a scion. Toyota decided to throw it in the 2015 TRD pro model as a subtle addition to the interior package.

If you like the stubby look, here is the one I have. It is a good bit longer and has better reviews than that one. For me, reception is exactly the same as stock antenna. I would assume it could be different for anyone depending on location though. Here’s a decent look at it from a few steps back!

Installed HD dakars, U bolt flip kit, and timbren bumps. Only took about 2.5 hours, they ride amazing for having no weight in the bed. Looks a million times better now having the rear lifted more. Can finally turn up the coilovers more.

@EatSleepTacos ordered thanks I have been taking my best top off to get inspected now I only have to worry about the chopped exhaust with the topper but being a soft top hopefully it won't count. It kinda bothered me not having the brake light especially after putting the spare on the swingout
