I just got my truck going again and although I did a few mods to it all at once I attribute the URD headers to the largest gains. Still on the stock y-pipe, rear cats and exhaust but there was a big jump in acceleration.

Well, the good news is those graphs are very linear and look great so the truck is running awesome for where it’s at. Peak numbers are on the lower side of everyone’s hopes though

They are, that's true. There's more to the truck, I know that for sure and there still is a question mark on whether or not he disengaged traction control properly, because it's not as simple as pushing the button and calling it good, you have to hold it down for a few seconds until you see "TRAC OFF."

Hows the exhaust sound? Gonna do this soon but don’t want too much rasp.

We were all over but I was the closest. Pay up suckas!
Rob, hope the run didn't set you back much and you can get back in there and verify the traction control was off. I'd like to think there is more in there. Did you happen to log?

Yeah but that would only show effects down low where the tires were trying to break loose. Up at the top end the truck is hooked up and should be accurate. And seeing that there aren’t any dips or funkiness in the low end I’m sure anything you saw had very minimal effects on the curve and the results

I didn't actually, if they decide that the runs were skewed due to traction control I'll be back in there tomorrow at worst and I'll throw my laptop on there to log.

The runs cost me $161 for 4 runs. :(

Short headers and a Y pipe. Swap the stock Y back in at smog time. Takes 15 minutes.

You're running headers and a pretty free flowing non cat restrictive system right?

Not when it was dynoed, it is more opened up now though. So when it was dynoed it had the stock cats welded to jba shorties, stock yipipe, 3" banks exhaust

I'm wondering if your headers and larger exhaust outlet made all the difference. That's quite considerable. 42HP-ish more considerable.

Oh yeah, also, was that on a Mustang or Dynojet? I want to see what my numbers look like on a Dynojet because the Mustang is a loaded Dyno.

I think if anything the 3" exhaust may be a larger factor but maybe not. The headers shifted to torque curve but I am not sure if they were able to actually increase overall HP. I forgot you are on a 2.5" exhaust correct?
Another thing to consider, I am not sure what altitude/temps you are at but it was around 80 F I believe in the dyno room at the time and I want to say delicious tuning's dyno is like 600-800 ft above sea level.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention the original run was done on stock tire size

It is on a Dynojet. I just looked into it. That may be it right there. There is zero resistance on those so the numbers will look different based on that factor alone.

    2.5, correct.

If it was flashing the Traction control, timing was being retarded/throttle was being closed.

I wish you would have datalogged the pulls. That would tell us what’s going on.

I know there are two modes for the traction control program. The first one turns on auto LSD And VSC off. The other turns off TRAC and VSC. The second mode requires you hold down the button 3 seconds to enable. He indicated to me that he did not hold down the button any longer after he saw the first mode engage. So you are thinking program was limiting power and cutting power?

I saw VSC squared off box far right, right above the "VSC off" light (not shown here) blinking while he was running it.

    20200714_171337.jpg

This is the other mode that I don't think he ran and he indicates that it sounds like he did not run it either.

I bet you had some throttle closure. I don't think your dyno was the full output of your truck.

I'll give the shop a call tomorrow and talk to the owner. He knows I had a question and the tech who did the test was supposed to call me back but he never did. If the owner allows me back in to do a few more without charging me then I'll make sure I run a full datalog this time as well as instruct him on how to properly turn off the traction control program.
