Hold off on the EGR valve. You already replaced the VSV and cleared out the associated vac lines right?
The modulator and you made sure the EGR temp sensor is cleaned off?
P0401 - the insufficient EGR one means the temp sensor is reporting too low of a temp to the ECM. We need to figure out why the temp sensor is reporting low temp. If we know the temp sensor has no faults(tested with ohm meter to spec in manual), then its safe to assume not enough EGR gasses are getting back to the temp sensor, so the ECM sees this and triggers MIL. EGR gasses flow through the EGR pipe, to the EGR valve, and then the VSV and modulator and the vac lines, tell this EGR valve how much EGR gas to let back into the intake. Vac lines have to be perfectly clear so the VSV and modulator can work like they're supposed to. Also the EGR valve can build up carbon, enough to block all the EGR gas from coming back in.
If vac lines are clear, test the modulator and VSV (or just replace, that's what most do even though they're easy to test, but I get it), if those are good(or are replaced with quality new) then test to see if the EGR valve holds vacuum. It's also an easy test to do.
If all EGR components test good, you're screwed and need a new ECM. :D
Made sense? Can 20 year olds understand this type of stuff? ;):D
Once the process of the EGR system clicks in your head you'll be like ooooh okay yeah yeah I get it.
    I'll shut up:oops:

No but you can cause yourself a hell of a headache with nuisance tripping on that many GFCI. With the sensitivity of modern GFCI plugs radio signals can cause them to trip

Be careful with your RC stuff on that work bench and don't be surprised if you have to come back and swap all but one out for regular outlets

We will see. They are all wired in parallel. So if one trips it doesn’t take out the rest. If i do end up having a issue then it’s simple enough to swap out

Isnt the whole point of a GFCI to have it be the first thing in a circuit, wired in series so if it trips it kills everything after it?

Yes but in @Sperrunner case, if each line is it's own dedicated GFCI there's nothing "downwind" to protect lol

Well it's about flash flooding. Water made it about 2 ft through my open window so my desk was fucked by the time I came inside

Yeah thats if you didn’t have every outlet as a gfci. If everything is gfci you can wire it so each one trips and doesn’t effect anything else

all a gfci does is trip if something shorts to ground that way it doesn’t trip a breaker. They make gfci breakers too and anything on a gfci breaker is then protected from a short to ground.

Again, just confuses the hell out of the next guy as to why he used so many GFCI's lol.

I do a lot of controls wiring. Basic residential stuff sometimes escapes my mind.

    Probably not.

I tend to be picky with electrical stuff. So I question everything thats not done the way I would do it.
