So decided to swap my passenger cv out this evening, I tried and tried and couldn’t get the axle to pop out was using the same method I used on the driver side just a pry bar rotated all around. So I gave up and put everything back together that boot was kinda ripped now it’s definitely ripped and gonna make a mess.

That reason alone I wouldn’t buy it. 3500 pounds is nothing to tow when my trailer alone weighs around 1800 empty. There’s no way I could load my tractor and attachments and haul with a truck only rated for 3500. Nice but not for me.

So here’s what I did. Get a steel braided cable a cheap one like your garage door uses. Loop it around the axle close to diff, and a sledge hammer. Swing sledge hammer and it’ll pop out. Hope that makes sense. Think of it like a slide hammer, except the hammering being on a cable instead of a shaft. .

that clip on the axle shaft can be a pain in the butt to get to compress when pulling axles out.

Cool I had seen that and thought about it for a moment but couldn’t figure why my pry method wasn’t working, the driver was so easy about a year ago. I need a seal noticed mine was messed up so gonna pick that up and try again, I found a piece of cable in the garage that I think will work did you use a cable clamp or how’d you make a loop?

IIRC I just tied it around the sledge hammer after running the garage door cable through the included loop around the shaft. If that make sense.
