151145F2-0355-47EE-8AC7-D6F3F5890398.jpg Anybody around Hendersonville gotten a CMC done? Just got these 295/70r17s in, getting 2.5inch coils put on the 5100s next Wednesday and bought the CMC plates that Total Chaos sells. Thought about going to U-Joint OffRoad in cane creek I’m sure they’d be do some good looking welds.

If you don't mind, post back after you get it done. I may need one in the future as well and would like to know where to go if I don't try it myself.

I’ve got some 1.5inch toytec/Eibach coil springs, a set of predator steps, stock headlights off a 2015 and some 285/70r17 Nitto Terra Grappler g2s that have a little life left in them if anyone’s interested

I mentioned this road before, but at the end of Black Balsam Rd. off the Blue Ridge Parkway, is an old fire road. Gate should/supposed to be open as of August 15 every year, and close January 1. Only about 1 1/2 miles. Problem is it is getting overgrown with vegetation. I would love to get a group together to trim out ( if allowed by forest service). A lot of hikers though. Some think you shouldn't be able to drive it but you can. VERY, very technical! All rock and no mud. Some of the road borders the Shining Rock Wilderness area. If you've never drove it try it out. It will beat your brains out!

Is it Black Balsam Knob Road? I believe I found it on the apple maps and the fire road loops back around onto the parkway? I may have to wait on that one to get my cab mounts chop done EDIT: I looked at it on satellite and the what I thought was a road that loops back into the parkway has got to be a walking trail do you just dead end on the trail you speak of and just turn around? I may check it out one day this week

It does dead end. I drove my stock OffRoad around it last year. The short beds would be better than a long bed. But yes it is probably Black Balsam Knob. Weekends are very crowded at the end of the pavement.

Those are both close enough that I bet the North Georgia guys would be in for a trip up.

We had a great experience with Lloyd Odell. Couple others mentioned in the Charlotte thread in the last couple pages, been some real estate talk recently.

We are buying in that area soon, (or Wylie) and are using Debbie Carpenter. She’s great so far.
