More firearm updates, because I haven't been doing anything with the truck lately other than driving it:

I won a Sig P320 Compact, and decided to stormtrooper it:

    Built a Glock 17:

    glock 17.jpg

Put new sites on the CZ and the G48

    cz75.jpg

    Took a family picture:

    fam pic.jpg

Went to Louisiana and ate crawfish with the family (my folks and sis)

That's about it. Still thinking of updating suspension. Also thinking on getting a head unit with larger screen.

This morning I reflashed my truck from OVTune 1.05 93 octane to 2.0 87 octane. I'll see how it's running later on in the day.

As far as new suspension, I'm getting a promotion in May, and that's going to pay for it LOL. Going to take a ride up to Main Line Overland and see my options on site (and talk to the nice people......)

I've also been thinking of a new head unit with a bigger screen, but I don't want a hover screen, I want a nice clean flush mount.

OV Tune 2.0 beta is so much nicer than the 1.05 release. So much awesome. The shifting and response is even better now.

    Been a while since I posted a picture of Lil SilverIMG_20200607_124931.jpg IMG_20200607_124913.jpg

Took the beautiful weather opportunity to give the truck a nice waxing.

Amp is dead. A little over 2 years. All fuses good, ground good, remote on good, power good, amp no longer powers. Doesn't look like water intrusion happened, amp is nice and dry inside.

Looks like I'm music-less for a few days while I research something new

if you have the ability to bench test this thing I'll hand it over to you so you can test it...... I'm pretty worried about taking it completely apart..

I ordered an open box AudioControl LC6.1200 to replace the Arc. I'm going to send the Arc back to have repaired, and then use it in my son's car.

Holy. Fuck. This amp was too fucking easy to install/tune.

First I updated the batt fuse to bigger.
    IMG_20200718_150845.jpg

    Then unboxed

    IMG_20200718_142632.jpg IMG_20200718_151445.jpg
I feel as though this was not really an open box buy lol

I "tuned" the amp with no extra tools, the amp has a proprietary gains light up that's pretty fucking boss. After I set all the gains, I disconnected the amp and mounted it back to the amp rack.

    IMG_20200718_192131.jpg IMG_20200718_203022.jpg

So I went from 85w rms x 4 and 225w rms x1 to 125 w rms x 4 and 400 w rms (bridged) x 1. And I can tell. Fronts are set high pass 60 hz, rears are set high pass 100 hz, sub is set low pass 70 hz, acubass is on. I haven't messed with other settings yet, and will be driving without rear seats for a couple days (without the cover on the amp) so I can fine tune.

Also, the phone cord that I already had installed worked fine, but I had to hook up the ACR1 knob for it to work correctly.

    IMG_20200718_203003.jpg

    I'm happy with my purchase

Shitty embarrassing confession time. For 2-1/2 years I ran that Arc Audio with out issue. The amp died from water damage - because I had it set up right under my rear window. How did it last 2-1/2 years with no issue you ask? Because I was parking the truck in my garage. Lately I have been parking it outside because my son got a "classic car", and I have been letting him use my parking in the garage. I had forgotten that the rear window was open, and it rained.

    Hard.

So I order the AudioControl, set it up, and it sounds awesome. But I put it in the same fucking spot, and 2 days later, it rained.

    Hard.

And I had forgotten to shut the damn rear window. Now that amp is dead.

So both amps are now on their way to their prospective companies to be serviced/reconditioned, and I am music-less in my truck, and looking for ideas on a better mounting solution on the back wall that wont get wet if I pull a stupid again.

Anyway: pics of said "classic car" 1988 Volvo 244 with 26k original miles.

Well, while I have the time, I'm ripping apart the back seats, renewing some wires, cleaning up etc.

Here is my first attempt at carpeting, I think it came out pretty friggen good, and now I'm ordering more carper to do my sub box....IMG_20200728_202305.jpg
