Has anyone done the ecgs bushing without the tools from ecgs? I'm making a list of parts I'd rather do during the lift process to knock out the same weekend. Any help is appreciated, pics may help as well!

I'd get the tool unless you can fab one yourself.

Thanks, that's an option but timing would have to be right on. If I were to order one of the two tools, which would be recommended? Removal or install? Or do you really need both? I'm quite handy and can redneck mode easily but I don't have a welder.

I’ve not done it myself yet (will do with lift whenever that is) but I think you really need the removal tool. The install can be managed with other tools or I think I read the right size pvc pipe or something.

Check out the GA board and ask there if anyone has the tool to borrow, you might have better luck that way with the tool.

the other option is buy the tools then sell them when done, usually someone is always looking for those and willing to buy.

Yea by the look of the install tool it looks like that can be mocked up. I'm the type that keeps tools for future use if ever needed. I just pcsd to ga and you wouldn't believe how many 3 Gen tacos are here at Moody. Surprisingly so far nobody on tw.
