I wanna touch on what Panda said about the how part.

The best thing to do is to open the images you want to make into a pano using Camera Raw. Even if they are jpg's.

I suppose there are opponents of Bridge but it's what I use so I'll share that.

First, select the images you want to make into the panorama. The right click and select "Open with Camera Raw". In Camera Raw, select all of the images then hit "synchronize"--accept the defaults unless you know what you're doing. Now, make whatever exposure, etc. adjustments before opening the files in PS. For those of you not familiar, it's better to pick "Open" than "Done". "Done" writes the files before opening. "Open" just opens the file.

Once all the files are open, follow Panda's directions with one slight difference. Instead of browsing for the files, hit "select open files" and then let 'er rip.

The method I use lets me get all the images more or less to the same exposure, etc. before I start working with the pano.

To go back to crazy shape question. To make a good pano, you need to overlap each image by 20 to 30 percent so that the software has enough points to use for the merge. It's also true if you are making a pano of images that are far away, you can just shoot away and ignore the nodal point of the lens. If your subject is close to you, then you need to rotate the lens around the nodal point so as to not lose the perspective and give your image the correct perspective (there are special rails to do this if you're so inclined).

The biggest benefit though is to make sure and overlap your images.

    Hence "most".

If you still think I am "jealous" of you, you need to get over yourself. My D40 serves me extremely well and do not see the need in upgrading. I do not need to spend $1700 to help me take better pictures. To be honest, your stuff is nothing great.

    Define "progressing"?

I mean earlier in the thread you asked Viet "if a polarizer would help"

    Boys. Why all the hate?

Just because a picture isn't "perfect" doesn't mean it's taker isn't progressing. Nor does asking questions mean you're falling back.

As you can see looking at what Jake posted about making pano's vs. what I posted, there is almost always more than one way to do something so how's about we respect each other, learn and make ourselves better.

    OK fuckers :)rolleyes:)?

I'm not trying to start shit, I'm just wondering why the OP turned into such a dick all of a sudden? (I even quoted all of Viet vs Jake in this thread in case you needed a recap)
