I was so close to getting the X3's, but my heart is with Toyo M/T's.

Midnight 4X4 did my gears. They purchased the gears from SDHQ out of Arizona. I went with the Nitro REM polished in the 488 variant. They didn't offer the 529's at the time, or I definitely would've went that route.

I'm not sure what labor on the gears were since they did a lot of work for me all at once. I also had an air locker done with the gears (because, why not?). I think it was in the 16 hour range to do the gears and locker.

My 265/75/16 st maxx are 56 so the X3 C loads would save me 6 pounds a tire. But Im thinking ill just stay with what I know I love.

No doubt a solid front axle would be cooler. All we've got to go on right now is car magazine hyperbole, but R&T says the Bronco Badlands scores 700 points on the RTI ramp. Four Wheeler says the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon scores 693. Now we wait for the inevitable head-to-head comparisons.

As for the 2.7L ecoboost, I think I've proved your point. I have an F150 with that engine. It's a pleasure to drive, it's fast and gets great MPG for a full size. But I don't plan on keeping it past 100,000 miles and if it stops being a good vehicle, I have an emergency backup 1st gen Tacoma.

I did shafer trail last month and will be going to the St George area this werkend. Truck is a '17 pro and I hope to be getting some 285s with a negative offset (or spacers?) and a lift this winter. Still getting to know the trails around here, but the easy ones I've found are pretty fun!

I buy all the arguments for ifs, but the TTB setup with the dana 28 was awesome back in the day. You still see a lot of rangers in the desert community that run this setup. 4wd, 25" of travel, and aren't super wide.

Definitely not arguing with you over it. I'm guessing many are in your camp, which is why he made the point of saying they would have to win people over.

It's exciting to have a new or somewhat classic (re)entry into the market. Maybe it will work out and maybe it won't. If it doesn't, we still have our golden ticket.

It's going to be hot AF in St. George this weekend. As long as the AC works, you should be good.

Yea I agree. I will definitely like to check one out up close. I am not opposed to getting a wrangler either. I know what to expect with a jeep.

I did find the starting prices for the bronco's on the site. The 4dr badlands version (front and rear lockers) starts at like $42K. I assume the auto trans will be an add-on like it is with the Chrysler. I imagine the badlands version to be close to 50K...

It is crazy how expensive vehicles are.

Yeah, and it's not likely to change anytime soon, if ever.

I second 23Zero. Justin is very out going and easy to work with. When i was in the market for a tent, Justin drove his raptor over to my house and let my wife an I take a look at his tent. A couple days later we bought his personal/demo tent that he had in his shop. He gave us a full 2yr warranty and said we can get a new cover anytime.

I have one of their awnings. 23Zero is a solid outfit. I'd buy from them again without hesitation. Plus their light suppression thing may just be another option from the China plant where they are all made side by side, but at least they try to offer a differentiating feature instead of just puking out a "we also bought some and slapped our name on them" product.

So believe it or not, I've never been up the Mirror Lake Highway. Thinking about heading up there this weekend to poke around. How much of a dumpster fire has it been lately between average summer traffic plus the COVID crowds that have hit everywhere else? Hoping it isn't as bad as AF Canyon as of late.

Some of the lakes might be a little crowded but there is plenty of space and areas to explore different get away from the crowds
