So I’ll be picking up a new 2019 Trd Pro soon. I put a deposit on it a while ago but couldn’t complete the sale because the fuel pump recall.

When I finally go pick it up, are there any Tacoma specific questions I should ask or specific things I should check before driving it off the lot?
This will be my first Tacoma.

    Thanks.

I have a question for you; what's the fuel pump recall have to do with your completing the sale?

If the sale is not complete, why not get a 2020?

I don't see how they would legally be able to sell something with an open recall on it? Isn't that a huge liability?

They can sell the ones that aren't affected and the ones that have been fixed.

I asked the same question. Apparently in Canada a dealership can’t give you the car with a known recall. The recall must be fixed before it can be transferred to me. I’m not sure if the same applies in America.

So to answer your question, one thing I noticed on mine that drove me crazy was the bumper was misaligned. this seems to be an issue with a lot of the Tacoma's I wound up fixing mine myself but you might want to take a look at the bumper make sure it's lined up properly if not have them fix it and save yourself a headache later down the line when you realize it while washing your truck.

I got a crazy deal on it. It was much less than the 2020 OR never mind a Pro.

It has everything I want so I’m happy to go with a 2019

Yeah, especially if you have no plan to keep this vehicle very long.

Just make sure you have all the keys, gas in the tank, and the manuals. That's about it really.
