Took me a while but realized you had to be in accessory mode to get TS to read customization settings along with ECU stuff. Turns out I'm already on 04A61. Updating to a new TSB was the last thing stopping me from getting VFTune as I was partially hoping it'd be good enough (for now). It's really not. Where's my wallet...

How can I tell if they’ve taken care of them? I’m going in for service on Monday and don’t know how to ask and get proof.

I am weird, but I just don't trust hardly anyone, so I have to see for myself.

Swapped the tune today to check out Super Full Otto Octane Learning Regular Fuel. I wanted to test it out. Cleared learning values, and relearned idle. Will test out in the morning.
Also dug down into Techstream. Really a handy free tool.
You are able to watch every signal in real time while it runs. I also set the seat belt chime to shut the heck up when my dog is riding shotgun. He won't wear a seat belt. Changed the number of flashes on lane change, and just checked it out. Pretty neat.

I turned that stupid seat belt chime off ASAP once I found out you could do that with TS. What do you mean the number of flashes on lane change? Also, octane learning is available for AT yet right? I assume by the name you can run whatever gas you want?

You can select the number of turn signal flashes when you move but don't click all the way on turn signal stalk.

Octane learning is available on AT. I just wanna see how much I lose dropping back to regular unleaded, then clear values and switch back to premium.

I did not see an octane learning flash when I looked through all of them. Is it abbreviated someway?

In all my years of driving, I’ve never held the turn signal stalk in between the on/off position. I’ve only just pushed it up or down fully. I didn’t even know there was an intermediate option that only flashed a certain number of times. Guess you learn something new every day lol!

Just placed orders with UV Tuning and Tactrix.

Tonered or wrightme43 - can you point me to the right place to download Techstream? Is direct from Toyota?
    Thanks

It is right in my signature.

It is a hacked version that can be found at many places.

    Enjoy!

I'm looking for some clarification on the vF credits. When they say ECU ID on the ovtuned website are they referring to 04B13 and 04B14? If so, does this mean that extra credits would be required to have access to 04B13 and 04B14 tunes? I've been out of the loop since the 04B13 update a few years ago. Looking to catch up and deciding if I want to try 04B13 + OV2.0 or if I should upgrade to 04B14 first.

Yes. After the fist ECU unlock, you need to buy credits for any ECU that you want to edit in vF or get Tune Packs for from OVT.

From what I felt and what other have seemed to confirm, you definitely want to flash 04B14 and request that Tune Pack.

Very good. Thanks. I already found the 04B14 update over in your "ECU TSB Update" thread. Thanks for that as well.

    You're welcome!

That is good to hear. It was good to get the 1st Post updated since a lot of folks are still using it and new stuff is dropping.

OV website appears to be out of stock on the tuning cable. Is there another option for tuning cable if I were to just purchase the Tuner Software and Tuner Pack from OV?
