What happened to the Colorado? Did they have a massive recall or something?

I love my Tacoma, but I will be the first to tell anyone that as far as auto purchases go, the mid size truck market is pretty great. Any of them are fine purchases. (my opinion)

Translation: Been to the garage for many repairs... :D

All kidding aside, I would get a Ram before the F150 or the 1500

I'm a pretty big Ford fanboy and I test drove a Ranger before the Tacoma. I wanted to like it so badly but I just couldn't do it. That little turbo 4 cylinder is a fucking beast though. It was super peppy and accelerated like a sports car. The transmission was a bit strange, but I think that's just how transmissions with that many gears must behave.

Interior was so damn "meh" I couldn't get over it. Sightlines out the windows were absolutely terrible; horrible blind spots. Manual rear window.

Plus when I parked it next to my 4Runner that I was looking to trade in, it was laughably lame looking. You could tell it was not designed for the American market with how non-aggressive it looked.

Once Toyota added LED headlights and power adjustable seats to the Tacoma, I was 100% on board and absolutely love the Tacoma now.

I'm in love with the new two door Bronco though. Would love to have one for a toy. I'll definitely be interested in the next generation Ranger though assuming it's designed with American styling in mind.

It's about time they added LED lights and power seats. Although I do like the regular style headlights with the LED accent. I just ordered some LED bulbs to update the look a bit.

Also, 100% agree about the Ranger. Had I gone full size, I would have gotten the F150 though. But the Taco just fit my lifestyle better than a full size truck at the moment.

I do see Rangers often, but it's not an everyday thing. I wouldn't say they're rare around me, but I see a fleet of Tacomas and Colorados for every Ranger.

Enjoy all those recalls the RAMs have. I believe the 19 RAM had 17 recalls total already.

I'd like to get a set of Explorer bucket seats for it eventually, the bench seat leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe I'll jump on a console too if I can find a good scrap truck at a pick n pull.

Havent been to the junkyard in years. Last one was at scott road when i got that console for my ranger, maybe 7-8 years ago. Wonder if they still have older cars sitting there.

Pretty sure the ones in my town in BC are rife with older vehicles honestly, and there's 4 of them within 1km lol.

Do you have a link for this? I've seen a lot of anecdotal stuff regarding the turbo 4 and want to do a bit more research.

The MT is still a dying breed.
The Bronco has a 7sp with the low gear being 6.59:1 to give a crawl ratio of 95:1.

It is a dying breed unfortunately. Endagered species i might say? :)

Thats cool of them to add a granny gear though. My buddys 4.9 inline f 150 with 4spd had similar granny gear. We did brake stands.in 2nd in his driveway, ha! Fun highschool times...

Interesting video. I know a couple high mileage folks and they've all had no issues. I've a feeling the truth is a bit more nuanced than "never buy."
