Thought crossed my mind today about selling my truck. Severals reasons have brought me to this.

I have a company car and don't drive the truck except nights and weekends. I also have my MR2 in the garage that gets driven even less.

My wife has an old Mazda MPV she commutes daily to her job and has about 157k on it and she doesn't much care for it. She has a hard time seeing out of my truck and has admitted several times where she nearly has hit people. So it makes me nervous when she drives it.

My son who's going to be 17 next month has his own car a '94 Camry. But sometimes he drives it that also makes me nervous. I have another son who will be entering driving age about a year from now.

So the thought is to keep the MPV to haul family and hit the beach and trade-in/sell the truck for a vehicle my wife can drive that she enjoys.
Therefore I can get over from being nervous about whoever may or may not drive the truck. Problem is I love the damn thing.

Sorry for the long post, just had to get my thoughts out.

Yea... sounds like your only real options are putting it on blocks/stashing it away in case you need it (mr2) or getting rid of it. I have often had cars I didn't need anymore.. eventually you just got to thin the herd.

Last time I had more motorcycles than I could keep.. I put them all up for sale and kept the one that was left. Offered em up for ridiculous money too since all i was selling them for was the space.

If you only drive it on the week ends. and already have that MR2 (which get better MPG). Maybe getting rid of it is the best thing to do.

Yeah, sell it. These days, it's all about down-sizing. Keep only what you need. Save time, save space, save money!
