No, but I have a issue in the funny and unfunny gif thread. The first few show up, the. The rest are black, but as I scroll down the gif that showed up follows along and will show up in each black/blank area

Story Time.


Too many self-important "Experts" are running amok these days.

I'm old enough to remember that Polio was once a very big deal...
...along with all the so-called "childhood diseases" (Measles, Mumps, etc).
These were serious killers.
One of my earliest memories is of my parents taking me to the funeral of a little girl my age from our Church.
Parents these days try to shield their children from that reality.
And I think they're wrong.
People back then lived their lives and coped.
What else can one do?

Now we have a virus that is highly dangerous to the elderly with pre-existing conditions.
Overwhelmingly, mortality is concentrated on those people.
Unfortunate, but that's how it is.
Instead of strictly quarantining that specific demographic...we allow the experts to upend everyone's' lives.
How did we come to this?

This may sound harsh, but the deaths of so many children and youths back then...
...was far more damaging to society than the deaths of already sick elderly people.
(As some of you may know, I'm 65.)
Those "childhood diseases" also killed adults who somehow hadn't contracted one or more of them as children.
My own Father got the Mumps at the age of ~40 and it almost killed him.
(His immune system reaction may have been worse than the disease itself.)
My Mother and older sister had to do all the work on the farm for weeks.

Now, so far as I know, the risk of Covid-19 to healthy people is low.
A friend at my Club had it and didn't even know. He says he felt tired for a week, that's it.
It so happened that he had to get tested for work, or he might never have known.
He's no spring chicken either.

Anyway, that's my opinion.
And I hope the above is not somehow construed as a political post.

Yep. I wondered why such a new trailer was the last one available. I get paid if I have to sweep them out but this was more of a clean out so I submitted it as 2 sweeps and included the pic.
