I actually came across a guy that installed a new battery without removing the red and black plastic caps and couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t start. LOL

Do you have power at the Alt? I find it hard to believe if you have no power anywhere else. Lights, dash board Etc. and your battery is good.

Well then you need to check the connection AT the fuse box.

Power goes from battery to alt (fuseable link) check cables, battery, ground. Can’t go but look, remove it ohm it out.

I don’t want to sound like an a**hol* but it sounds like your over your head, You need to do basic diagnostic testing to eliminate components. let a professional fix it for you. Good luck.

So you have no power anywhere, no lights radio etc. no power in the fuse box in the engine compartment, and your battery is good. So it’s gota be between the battery connection and the main fuse. Check that fuse with your meter, don’t go by looks.

After reading more responses, looks like you swapped positive and negative terminals and fried your fuses and/or circuit boards

There’s really nothing to swapping out a battery, (literally, unhook terminals, hook up terminals), not much can go wrong since you don’t touch anything else. You’re touching 2 cables, and that’s it. Might have to stop the denial at some point as mistakes do happen....

    ....not looking good

This also makes me wonder if his terminals have those stupid plastic guards under them that sometimes block power from getting to the posts to the ctual terminals. When I see those I take a few minutes to dismantle the terminals and totally shitcan the plastic guards.

I also hope that he didn't buy a battery with terminals reversed. That would get real ugly electrically.

I hope reversed terminals are not the problem. Unfortunately, the more information we get, the more it is looking this way? God, let’s hope not.
