You could drill 4 small holes (2 on either side) that are lined up and epoxy roll pins like dowel rods in there.. I've done it to a couple climbing saw handles I've worked on and they've held up being dropped outta trees

Only if he doesn't refund you that is

God I didn’t realize they’re worth that much. Have you tried car-part.com?

Well, I've already got a replacement ordered. But that means another week of waiting too. If these sellers can't get something to me without it breaking, then I'll have to hack something together.

Yeah, they are fucking expensive, even used.

I have not tried car-part.com yet. We'll see how this 2nd one does.

Try calling ToyAuto Mart or Rancho Toyota Truck Parts here in Cali - both in Rancho Cordova outside Sac. I’ve been to both and they’re very well stocked.

I’ll have to grab the actuators next time I see a 2001-2004 or a late 4Runner. Every diff I’ve ever pulled uses the vacuum actuator.

This is the diff or t-case actuator?

    Haven't seen many v8 Toyotas yet at Pick-n-Pull. I’ve seen maybe 1-2 2UZ’s - most Tundras I see are the 5VZ

So this isn't a vacuum actuator. The 4th gen 4runner (Some Sequoias and Lexus GX460/70 too) use an electric actuator for both 4Lo and the center diff lock. The one for the V8, like mine, is different from the one for the V6 since those do 2wd where mine is full time 4wd.

Hey. Crazy question. But if they don’t want that actuator back. You wana send it my way and I’ll cover shipping? I want to see what all I’d have to do to wire it up in the tundra.

full time awd sounds like a blast waiting to happen

Ahh. Yeah I can see why those are pricey. I’ve never seen a single newer Lexus SUV or a 4th Gen 4Runner

Sure thing. It even has the plug on it since they just cut the wiring.

You can use “Toyo” or “Yota” but don’t you dare use them together.
