Yea it sounded nasty (the wrong kind) so i switched to a 40. I even had a Z06 resignator on it after the muffler to keep the raspyness down. sounded great until i got the headers.

I missed this a while back- but a true dual like left and right banks on their own pipes?? Or Dual outlet from the muffler??

I can read what he wrote- but there have been several folks who have tried and weren't pleased with the performance. It hurts the exhaust scavenging...So I'm curious what he did differently.

Well...I guess I kind of am. There were a couple folks calling single inlet, dual outlet mufflers "true duals"..so I want to see if that is the case or if he found a fix for the scavenging loss.

I just removed my exhaust manifolds and cats installed doug thor headers i put 2 resinators in one on each bank then to the y pipe and to the stock muffler with urd 02 sensers sounds great not to metal sounding a nice little rumble i dynoed the truck before and after it gave me an extra 18 hp the 2 resinators give enough back pressure to not lose the low end poer

i dont mean to take over your thread but my question is in the same department...i removed my second cat and have a floawmaster 40 with duels exiting and havehad the CEL forever so i just bought the 02 simulatoer from URD to get rid of the CEL, my question, since the simulator will correct the signal to the ECU, wouldnt that give me back the low end i lost? and correct the air/gas ration and get back an mpg or two? and when my truck settles at idle it at 600rpms...which is a little low, i hope this gets fixed too

No, thats just for the CEL/Emmissions. Cats provide backpressure.
