Congrats man. After 10 years of complaining about my knee, I had my ACL replaced down here at Travis. Now, I get my C6/7 disc replaced and fused on Tuesday. Don't know how it happened, but a herniated disc popped up out of nowhere and sent me to the ER a few times... Unfortunately right during COVID, and nobody on base would see me until a few weeks ago. But when they saw how bad the herniation was, they immediately set me up with the neurosurgeon and scheduled me to get sliced. I get 30 days of Conv leave.

Excellent! Keep track of all your records and file for disability when you get out. Have an FSO (I think that’s right) file for you.

They do TAPS and all that stuff pretty well for people retiring down here. Last I looked after my ACL (I didn't regain 100% motion... mostly due to COVID screwing up my recovery) and everything else I should be at 60-70. Add in the neck surgery... oooh boy.

TAPS won’t get you everything you need to file your claim. At least at JBLM they didn’t and their TAPS program is pretty well ran. I had to do the research for filing with an on base rep myself. Totally worth it.

They actually have it set up here at Travis. The moment you start everything, they get with you and start working through it. Coworker just retired and gave me all the information I needed for it. I plan on going through both sets of TAPs too, the SNCO/Officer one and a regular one right before I am done.

Not quite. Just got home and it wasn't done yet, and I'm not sure what happened... The printer thinks the model is that tall, buuuuut....

Edit: Looks like the filament hung up, and then the extruder wheel cut through it trying to feed it. Still not sure what caused it to hang up. At least I don't have a spiderweb of shit everywhere.

Hope you're going to school in king county. GI Bill BAH for full time (in person student) classes was great. Covered my mortgage payment. My BA is online though, so the last 2 years of it I lost a huge chunk of cash per month for the online only BAH. Oh well.

Bought a first gen for rock bottom prices (cause it has needed some SERIOUS work) and slowly but surely rebuilding it ... looking forward to taking it on more than just forest service roads

It’s not, I’m 100% online out of state. But I’m coming up on my senior year so that combined with my VA Disability goes to an account I don’t touch other than for medical expenses. Working full time is what prevented me from going to to a local brick and mortar school and being a full time student there.

    2013.

Sold an Audi RS6 at Park Place in Bellevue; I should have just taken the Audi down to Kelso Toyota and traded it in.

Did you get the bed leveled?
Mine finally arrived on the doorstep last night. Ran a 'benchy' for test. First real part is a filament guide I downloaded off Thingaverse that's printing right now.

Hahaha I love it! Trading in an Audi for a taco, that's fantastic. I sold an astro van set up for commercial work and my 05 mazda tribute to get into my tacoma... I use that term loosely cause when I bought it the clutch was shot and cyl 1 was dead.. but rebuilt the engine and transmission so we're good to go there

Now all the other service stuff that adds up... and THEN I can start modding it for more offroad use lol
