I will be doing the DI fuel upgrade, good for 15psi. My question remains.

Can only change the waste gate springs manually with the turbo uninstalled.

However, with a boost controller you can modify the amount of boost by controlling the amount of pressure/boost delivered to the waste gate actuator, thereby delaying the wastegate from opening & allow the turbos to spool longer and generate boost above the spring rate.

Not knocking the videos, but I don’t really see much gain. Maybe it’s like filming a cliff, but on tv it looks like an easy 30 degree decline. The videos have almost convinced me that I’m going full upgrade/boost minus ethanol. I don’t want the regret of not having enough power for my money.

Am I alone? Are the videos misleading perhaps?

No it’s fair to say the videos are very underwhelming.

Too much wind noise from windows.

I will get crystal clear acceleration videos.
it is much quicker than stock.
Also all pulls are with torque converter fully locked, unlike stock which makes the truck feel like the RPM goes up faster.

and the acceleration video is on an incline.

turbos will have the 7psi springs installed.
Optionally, you can put the 4psi springs + a boost controller.
That will let you run boost as low as 2-3 psi. (since 4psi is full open).

Your right the videos are misleading. I think Mat has to improve the quality on those videos! They definitely dont show off the turbos. He did say they are bad when he posted them. Hope to see some higher quality videos soon!

I’ll buy you a draggy. I use one on all my cars and it’s very accurate and easy to use. That should give some concrete numbers for everyone on the fence about what kind of performance difference(real world) they should see.

Nice! I’ve been downloading free apps that measure 0-60 but they all suck. I had no idea something like this existed for a reasonable price....ordered one on Amazon so I can measure the gain myself. Thanks

No prob. All those phone apps are +/- a few seconds lol. Draggy is legit and also has a camera mode where it will record and overlay the performance times on video(kinda like picture in picture) which is super cool.

you need to submit stuff to magazines soon. If they feature it that’s free marketing and exposure could be a good press release, just be sure to include due to demand lead times are TBD lol.

I wouldn’t do it until customers are up and going possibly with YouTube videos and reviews.

the great thing about the first 25 is it seems like everyone will be running slightly different setups due to the options available. So reviews for most anyways possible to run them.

Stomping a hole in a new Ranger or out pulling a 2nd gen 4.0 at low rpm would be a good video...

Just lurk for some unsuspecting raptor. A few revs at a light. Go pro on the front, sides, and back. Then let's see what happens ?

Sounds like you guys have things to prove. I’d just like a truck that I enjoy driving and has plenty of power on tap.

I mean you're talking about adding ethanol. Which is absolutely fine and if you're looking to get as much power as possible have at it.

    Edit: nevermind miss read it.

Nothing to prove here. I do enjoy watching a friendly competition. You won't see me out there revving it up at a stoplight
