This right here. I hope the battery ended model ended with an F ( such as XXF ) If not he reversed polarity and who knows what all was blown up.

    OP,

There has been much sound advice given. You need to listen at some point.

Get a meter is the first step.
Check to make sure the positive and negative cables are properly connected to the positive and negative of the battery.
Check voltage at the wire in the under hood fuse panel.
Check the main fuse with a meter.

Something was done incorrectly during the installation. Even a very weak battery will power the brake lights.

This is why you DON'T touch your truck if you don't understand how things work and you damn sure don't buy things from cheap auto parts store using the morons advice behind the computer.

For the dummies out there reading this, CONSULT YOUR OWNERS MANUAL BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR TRUCK!

IF THE OWNERS MANUAL IS NOT AVAILABLE, ALWAYS USE THE SAME BATTERY WHICH CAME OUT OF THE TRUCK.

IF FOR SOME REASON YOU ARE NOT COMPTETENT ENOUGH TO DO EITHER OF THOSE, DO YOURSELF AND YOUR TRUCK A FAVOR AND TAKE IT TO A COMPETENT MECHANICS SHOP WHO DOESN'T INSTALL REVERSE POLARITY BATTERIES.

sorry hit post too fast, have you tried to boost the truck? maybe the cables are bad and it needs a lot of volts to get through.

I say DO NOT do this, until we confirm the battery is hooked up CORRECTLY.
No need to cause any more problems.

Here are photos. I will see about getting a multimeter, but it is more likely that I get it towed...

This is the way I have always had them connected, and was the same with the other battery

Probably ALT fuse like others have mentioned.

If not, I would return that new battery and buy a cheap one from Walmart. Before paying a mechanic. $55 they work great.

I’m suspecting more than the ALT Fuse.
Other things are not working that have nothing to do with that fuse.

OP is working on getting us pics now.

I bet you’ve got the positive negative reversed. Some batteries are backwards.

Are you sure? Just asking because that's a pretty big wire for fog lights.

I haven't seen those wires along with other's batteries...plus they are definitely aftermarket(the fog lights), so they need power from somewhere...
