Hemi Jeep would be mighty tempting, not so tempting, the likely 10k+ increase in price on a vehicle that already gets into the 60s.

FCA is on a roll recently and I wouldn't doubt to be seeing a V8 in a Wrangler very soon .On the 4th of July FCA three vehicles were introduced for the 2021 model year

    710hp Hellcat Durango

    815hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat Superstock

    797hp Dodge Charger Redeye

That V8 Gladiator would be a cool 65 leaving the lot, right?

    They're already in the $70k's I think.

Edit: Built one and got it to $65k

Notice that they skipped the 5.7 Hemi and went straight to the 392 Scat Pack Hemi.

    They're not worried at all.

What would you wager that even with a V8, the Bronco with the 2.7 and a common tune will still walk it?

    For multiple thousands less.

I want to see who comes out to with the first EV version, Wrangler or Bronco.....or even a new FJ. That would be a sweet daily for around town. Low operating cost convertible SUV.

All the torque and power that these V8s have plus I can always tow it behind my Tacoma if it falls apart

Knowing FCA Dodge theyll make a 707hp Hellcat version Wrangler or Gladiator

I highly doubt you will see a 2.7 with a common tune put 440hp/427ft/lb to the ground.

I thought the 392 put down around 415 to the wheels?

Tuned 2.7 is around 370-380hp but 450+ torque.

My bone stock (manual) 392 Challenger.
Dynojet chassis dyno. Before it was even broken in.

It did 400/400 on a Mustang dyno outside at an import event. Mustangs are a bit conservative.
Adjusting the sae numbers did put it at the 440 mark. 92 degs/75% humidity if I remember correctly.

Honestly, a 5.7 @375hp would be nice as well.
But FCA sure does like to go big in the last few years.

This would be the smarter choice. Make the 5.7L a $1k-2k option/upgrade over the 3.6L across the Wrangler and Gladiator lineup and call it a day. This 392 (if it even makes it to production) is gonna be expensive and will probably be limited to some top spec SRT trim above the already expensive Rubicon.

Will be interesting if Ford ever does a Bronco Raptor and throws in the 450hp 3.5L Ecoboost from the current F150 Raptor.

Ford could go with the 5.2litre 525hp Voodoo motor

I might prefer the torquey new 7.3L since that is an actual truck motor. I'm sure they can tune that beast to 450+ easily and it probably fits easier than the Dohc 5.2L.

I hope Jeep brings out an affordable higher performaning engine than the 3.6L v6. I think that is where Ford has them beat. You can get the 2.7L TT in a relatively affordable Bronco.
