Disappointed to hear this. They design a super cool 7 speed manual with a crawl gear (great idea IMO) and then hamstring it by keeping all the best features from it - sasquatch package, 2.7 V6. It feels like a "token" manual just to check the box and say they offered a manual.

    Hey guys
Who all has seen the new bronco and thinks they will be trading their taco in for one? I love my truck, but I also love the front/rear lockers, removable top and doors and easy to tune engine. Imo Ford absolutely killed it with this. I think in 2 yrs the taco will be going bye bye.

I like the way it looks for sure.

Maybe if it came with a bed. Otherwise I will keep my truck. If I was in the market for a Jeep, i'd head to the Ford dealer first though.

I agree. I don't care about a bed. I decieded not to buy a jeep bc the interior is absolute junk and they are way over priced. But this bronco , damn.

Yeah, if I had to choose between a Jeep or Ford, I guess i'd hold my nose and go Ford. The fact you can get a base Bronco with all the off road goodies is very enticing. Makes buying up to a Rubicon seem silly.

Hey if you're not gonna need a bed absolutely I'd buy a bronco. My dad has been drooling over it since monday. Front and rear lockers with 35" tires factory and 7 speed manual with a granny gear?

Sell me your suspension and wheels already :bananadead:

I've driven way too many Fords (rentals) to make that mistake. But I do like the choices in models and options that they're offering. Doesnt look to shabby either.

I'm hoping for the v8 in 2022 rumors to come true. If so it will be between a Bronco and what will hopefully be a sweet new Tundra model.

Doubt it... even the Raptor got reduced to a V6 from a V8. V8's are going the way of the dinosaurs.

New Bronco looks awesome, especially with 35's. I'd personally go with the 2.7/auto if I were considering one. I like the IFS, though I'm sure lots of people will moan about it. I like having a truck bed too much at this point to give up the Taco. I'm sure the Bronco will out perform the Taco in every way off road, but am not willing to give up the Taco reliability, as I intend to keep mine for the rest of my life (I'm 34 and don't drive it often). I'd rather have the same Taco for the next 30-40 years then have the latest and greatest Ford every 5 years.

Can't add that package to the base 2 door with the 2.3? Eh if it can handle 35's from the factory probably add that afterwards

No you can't order the Sasquatch package with a manual transmission. Makes absolutely zero sense.

I agree with you, hopefully the wheel wells will be the same on all models so you can put 35s on the base without trimming. The base comes with 30 inch tires though so it would probably need a regear...

My guess is that in a few years they will offer a slightly detuned version of the V6 from the Raptor.

Jeep hasn't offered a hemi, it's a concept. And if they did it would be a 75k jeep.

I love the arguement of I want a v8. Why can't we have a v8. It's not efficient! That 2.7 is easy to tune with huge results. I had a coyote F150 as a rental, got fucking terrible mpgs! I'd never ever buy one.

That crawl gear in the MT has me drooling... Just like some of you already said, too bad, once again, the MT is not being utilized properly.

Either way, I would love to have a 7 speed Tacoma with a crawl gear like the Broncos.
