I bought vf tuner before it came out as an optional upgrade for the flash kit. Haven’t even downloaded the software to my computer yet as I have too much to learn and it’s extremely early in its release to us. Maybe one day I’ll play with it.

iirc changing your tire size doesn't correct your speedo, it only changes shift points to more appropriately reflect the tire size being used. And since you have a MT, you're not seeing a benefit from that

As for webinars, he hasn't made/released any yet for the Taco. Only Lexus I think, couple months ago

The current version is actually really well sorted out and has all the maps one could need. I'm just continually adding more.

    A shout out to @OVTune and @Rafael@OVTune .

An MS update on my Surface changed the System ID. The OVT folks tossed me a new REG file in no time.

    Thanks!

I have a pretty stupid question for Mat/Rafael, but I'm going to ask it anyway. In addition to my Tacoma I have a 2016 Lexus IS350. Unfortunately that's the last year of the 2GR-FSE instead of the newer 2GR-FKS that's in the Tacoma. Is that on the list of vehicles to add to vF Tuner, or would that be a ton of work due to the older motor? For some reason I thought that you had a tune for it at one point but I don't see it on the site.

Maybe someone can help me out. Does anyone know what the ETC numbers represent on the alternator output map? Thanks.

That's not a stupid question to me?

I have a friend with an older IS250, a Tundra, and a GX470 that I have been trying to get him interested in tuning.

Appreciate that. I think that motor has a lot more to give, and I know that Mat was working on it at one point. I would definitely buy a tune pack for that car, but my guess is that there isn't a huge tuning community for it so it may not be worth their time.

They are the output voltage (using some formula). Mine are set at 93 I believe and gives me 14.4-5v

That sounds good. Be end of summer before I mess with it though. During work week in summer I stay extremely busy and the weekends I’m on lake Saturday and Sunday mostly. I’m sure there will be more by then to mess with.

    Yep.
Skid control ECU communicates directly with the cluster via CAN for speedo.
There is a second speed signal that goes through to the ECM via the cluster, but it's not used specifically for the speedo. The SM is very clear on this.
