I noticed my ditch lights came on and the switch shows off... Hmm..

I tried to flipped the switch on/off... it won't turn off.. So I opened the hood and took the wire off of the battery..

    Must be a bad switch.

There's likely more to it than that.
Are they wired to come on any time? As in, is the circuit 'hot' when the truck is off? Judging by you saying you disco'd the wire from the battery, I assume yes, they can turn on with the truck off.

did you perhaps take the entire positive post clamp off the battery instead of just the lead for your ditch lights?

I took two light wires off. Now the battery is good since factory lights work. I am giving it a few mins before I try to start it.

The light wires are for ditch lights and indoor topper lights.

    Help you any?

Yes, I didnt know anything about topper lights. For a minute I thought you had your 2 ditch lights wired independently which would be...simply amazing.

Any idea how long the ditch lights were left on? Also, if you happened to turn them off, please STOP driving with your offroad lights on. I'd rather not get hit with BS regulations that prevent me from having them on my daily driver.

Regardless, lets get this puppy back on topic.

Is anyone planning on bringing a giant amount of food to share with everyone for any particular meal, a la Evert Cheesesteaks?

But realistically, 2 LED ditch lights shouldn't drain your battery. These 90° temps we've been having aren't helping your battery last long, though.

I have no idea how long it was on.. It probably came on in middle of night or in the morning while I was asleep. It came on by itself but the switch was off. I was told it could be a bad switch or bad connections.

I tried to start the truck without the aftermarket lights, it won't do a thing... and the brake panel is tight.. if this helps any.

I have someone coming with jump cables and hope the jump cables would get it started up.

Who told you the switch was bad or bad connections? This seems highly improbable, the lights, in theory, just shouldn't work at all if the switch or connections are bad. More likely, you have a short in the wiring.
Truck won't start because dead battery is my best guess. Brake pedal is tight because no power. Normal function in this scenario. Hit your brake with the truck off with the fresh battery, same thing.
Remember me mentioning Harbor Freight? Get a voltmeter from there. Like $5 or free with coupon.

    Good luck man!

I will see if jump cables will get the truck up and running.. if not, I will go to the store and get a new battery then go from there.

The shop who installed the ditch lights. That was before I was not able to start the truck.

They're idiots. Don't take it back there. I'll fix your ditch lights at the meet.
Once you get the battery jumped, or have to replace it, have it tested at an auto parts store. Needs to be load tested.
