It is definitely busy for sure, but I did find myself camping near no one at Pyramid Lake (Murdock Basin area) a couple weeks ago. We tried Echo lake first, but it was more populated but we could have found a spot just decided to try Pyramid to be alone and it paid off.

Thats the area i was looking at. I'll prob end up pretty close to there. How were the trails up in that area? One of my buddies may be coming up thats pretty fresh to the concept of driving in dirt.

Murdock Basin is pretty bumpy for sure, there is quite a few rock gardens as well the closer you get to the Pyramid/Echo lake turn off. It took us roughly 1.5 hours to get back in there the 30 miles from the Chevron down in Kamas as our start point when I gassed up.

Air down if you can though! I didn't do that on the way in, but made sure to do so on the way out.

haha I dunno, its not that its all that technical or has any obstacles its just slow and rocky/bumpy.

I didn't take any pictures of it, but I know there is a video by a member here on it, may give you a better idea.

Nope, mainly because I haven't made the effort. I have done FR056 though, which the main Murdock Road sounds a lot like.

Ephraim Grave road? my old stomping grounds if so :)

Its definitely more rocky than that road for sure, I brought up forest lake up AF as I feel like it compares to the rocky sections there but sans the obstacles.

Timponooke Road is 056 out the campground. Speaking of rattling your teeth out. Lotta rocks but not hard, just slow like you said. I think we'll be fine. Besides I got Kings and E rated tires :D

You can go up the back way by taking chaulk creek road out of coalville. Road turns to dirt and then dumps you off at mt. whitney resi. Tons of offshoot trails to explore.

Long time lurker, so thanks in advance for any help. After scouring the forums, I noticed everyone seems to recommend Big O in sandy for their alignment needs.
I'll be swapping over to SPC UCA's (with a moderate spacer lift) this weekend and unfortunately live up in North Ogden. Is there any shops that anyone would recommend up around the Ogden area for a custom alignment? Or should I just attempt to get it as close as possible and drive down to Sandy to get it aligned.
    Thanks again.

For clarification purposes. You're saying take Chalk Creek Road, which goes all the way into Wyoming. At which point does it turn into a dirt road? Further, I assume you mean Mount Whitney Reservoir? I found a Whitney Reservoir, which is roughly 16 miles as the crow flies from the Backcountry Snowmobile marker on Google maps.
