Pro tip - when you’re at the Farrallons fishing a 1lb jig head and a 12” swimbait, make sure to palomar the jighead before you put the swimbait on

Anyone doing some fishing this weekend? I have a metric-fuck ton of work to do and need to catch up on some things, but may pop out for a bit and get some revenge on Lake Hennessy one day.

Snuck off to the Delta early yesterday morning for a few hours of fishing before it got boiling hot. Brother wanted to go fishing one last time before he’s a married man this coming weekend so late Saturday night he hit me up and we agreed to meet the next morning. I met up with him at about 7:30 am and we put in at one of my spots.

Tide was pretty low when we showed up, so I prepared myself mentally for the lack of fish we would probably catch throughout the morning. At first it was a bit slow forsure, but the tide rose ever-so slightly within an hour and it ended up becoming a dink-fest out there with a few nice ones.... all largemouth and spotted bass. I got around 15 with many more bites and my brother got 5 or 6. Can’t complain!

Only got one photo from the trip as we weren’t out there long.

Before I forget, HUGEEEEEE shoutout to @techfinsoup for the kayak hookup. Thanks for letting me buy that off of you man. It’s been an AWESOME kayak for the few trips I’ve already taken it on. Going to use the piss out of it. Lol

With Covid blowing back up and things closing down again, anyone's favorite lakes or spots closing down again? Over here, Lake Sonoma (the part the lake I go to) is still pretty much shut down which sucks.

Plan a trip for a September Klamath River Steelhead trip. It is a gas and remote. Free camps along fishing access which are pretty plentiful from Orleans to Happy Camp. Huge fun on fly gear or with light spinning gear usually with smaller spinners. Many 50-100 fish days.
