Most Lowes and Home Depots have security cameras recording their parking lots. Have you inquired?

In that case, make sure the lock tailgate end up with hose clamp on the right hand side. Which I mean this:

If not, they can steal the tailgate instead.

Maybe someone know you and wait for the right time to try to steal something from your truck.

Insurance said they didn’t need the video or police report. I went to 4-5 stores so I’d have to get all of them to pull it up. I sent pictures yesterday and they cut a check today. I have great insurance so no deductible.

I honestly think it was the someone from the homeless camp near Lowe’s. They walk the lot begging for money.

If so, how he got the crowbar? Ah, maybe he was being a fake homeless and watch for vehicles go in the lot, maybe?

I just assume when you are a crack head you carry a crowbar. It may have been a claw hammer. It was blue for sure.

That sucks....one of the advantages of not running a tonneau cover. Dont have to worry about prying up a $1k tailgate to discover the bed was empty......

Its ok....in the end the insurance companies just jack up rates on everyone else to pay for this stuff.

That hose clamp looks like a standard flat head type, not hard to yank off, you need the keyed one.

My old Jeep grand cherokee had it's driver side rear window smashed out while the doors were unlocked for exactly that reason. Some people just seem to be a few beers short of a 6 pack nowadays
