Would I benefit any from opening up my hoodscope since my intake is now like right there? I feel like I read something about it not actually pulling in any air

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
It is not in a high pressure flow stream but you would get air in and more importantly heat out. The bad news is you would also get debris and water in and your intake would remain squarely overtop of the Bank 2 exhaust manifold.

I paid $330 with my military discount.

@Smokehouse what Zipp said. The hood has always been a low pressure area, but if you do want to do an intake in a high pressure zone, the cowl is actually a very high pressure zone. Why do you think the old school muscle cars used to have cowl induction shaker hoods? They took advantage of an area that is already in place and just designed a set-up to work in conjunction with the already incoming air.

If you mean me, I just want it to be safe, reliable. make more power than the TRD blower, keep A/C, driveability where my wife/daughter/son can get in and drive off with me not worrying about it. Also if you can not bend any ABS lines, lol.

I may have a problem. I ordered those ripp coil packs just now. I should have waited for @12TRDTacoma to get his but my finger slipped. I think I am going to install some other goodies this weekend that have been waiting to be installed. New plugs, injectors and hopefully the trd intake. I have a buddy who has a furd ecoboost and he is going to wanna race on our annual trip to mexico at the end of the month so I wanna make sure my truck puts the nail in the coffin.

I got you if you just need a list codes to delete, it you also will need to adjust limp mode settings. I can adjust your tune if you aren’t comfortable with it. Or do you need a talk through hardware removal and block off?

So @3pooches is installing the supercharger with ucon, but wants to remove the sais. Also, catalyst efficiency check engine light - because its a farm truck. I have an hp tuner but have no experience using it.

The HP Tuner manipulation I can do in terms of rear without sims, adjusting limp and turning off esssayeyesss. I don’t touch any of the enrichment or safeties. I am not sure of how to help with the UCON. @JustDSM may be able to assist but I don’t know of how HP and a piggyback will interfere with each other.
