I have always wanted to check out Uwharrie, also excited harlan and windrock are within a 4hr drive. Those were formally 11hr+ one way and a time change for me.

Pretty much!! I have wanted to leave here ever since I have stepped foot out of it. If this NC job falls through I think we are going to sell and live over the border into indiana to save some tax $$$.

I did one trail at Uwharrie by myself and realized I had no clue what I was doing so I got out pretty quick haha. Theres a group of TW members that frequent it pretty often, thread is the southeast section.

Potts Mtn is from what I hear, the hardest offroading within 3 hours of Greensboro.

 

Just stay over on your side of the Dakota's, the west is full

Turkey Bay at Land between the Lakes in KY may be another wheeling place worth checking out while youre still in IL. I was gonna hit it up last summer, until my campsite got overrun with skunks and I said screw it and went home a day early.

Apparently the Hillman Ferry campground is overrun with skunks. The RVers a few sites away from me told me all about how they are there every year and the skunks are too. Fine if youre in an RV, not so kosher for a tent camper haha. Had the buggers up under my picnic table and near my fire ring. Packed up camp in under 5 mins and left while the coast was clear for a bit.

 

Very full, lots of covid, tons of the stuff east coasters are afraid of, like spiders, immigrants, bears (not the fuzzy black scaredy ones), taxes, people that aren't heteronormative, higher prices for everything... Im sure there are other things east coasters are afraid of

 

Yall have all the dangerous nope ropes/snakes and scorpions. All we have are giant prehistoric lizzards and Nascar to fend off Yankees and Californians.

 

Nascar basically curled up and died finally this year.

Yeah, they really managed to piss off the majority of their fanbase in the last few months. I couldnt care less though. Only racing Ill watch is NHRA top fuel stuff on occasion.
