Answered my own question. Downloaded the RCI install instructions, looks like those stamped pieces come off for the install. Recieved one of the TRD accessory skid plates that go over the splash guard for free but broke one of the welded nuts....yet again...... Think an aftermarket plate is in my future now

When I don't want to deal with getting rid of something (it's surprisingly difficult or expensive to get rid of some things around here) I put it up on Craigslist for free.

I had a futon that I put up for free. It was clean and usable, but was definitely nothing special. Someone drove an hour and a half to get it and they show up in a Subaru Impreza hatchback. I figured they would disassemble it in my driveway or something (they could have gotten it into four pieces plus the mattress within a few minutes), but no. They put it up on the roof. The legs were gouging the paint bad. I offered them some rags to tie under the feet to prevent that, but they said it was fine. They ran a few ratchet straps around the inside of the car and called it good. The car looked to only be a couple years old and based on the interior they regularly used it to transport hay.

Got out in the tent this past weekend - granted there was torrential downpour on for about 6 hours and everyone with a ground tent flooded out... it was a great weekend.
Back in high school and college I used to play airsoft for a local team and retired out because of career/life responsibilities. Well they approached me a month ago asking if I would be interested in rejoining the team for Milsim events. Had to buy all new gear because - well.. I got fat haha but man it was a blast. They use dumbed down concussion style grenades now, fuckers hurt when they go off in front of you. The game and equipment has advanced so much since 2010...

My buddy took this photo as I left my phone in the truck all weekend - which by the way was the most relaxing part of the trip.

That looks like a ton of fun! That's something I wouldn't mind giving a shot at some point.

It was supposed to be a 400 person ground war but only about 300 showed up and after the first half day the rain came in and only 100ish people stuck through the night or came back for Sunday games. We barely saw contact Saturday and drove around on the technical. The team consisted of 10 people, two grenadiers, one lmg, one driver, one spotter/gunner on the MG, one comms guy and the rest of us were "riflemen". They used HAM radios for comms so I bought a set of MSA Sordins with a custom PTT setup to run with the Baofengs. All in all I dropped about 3k to get back into the hobby..... however the gear is all real steel gear so if it has a purpose outside of airsoft.

Is that DOT 4? Seems excessive for a DD truck that's not gonna boil the fluid.
