I'm only seeing stage 2 and stage 6 for the 17' sport at the website you linked. What's the differences between stage 2 and 3?

Rock Auto has a great deal on power stop brakes. I've had good luck. One time I got a car back from the m mechanic they forgot to torque the lugs at all. I'm surprised the studs didn't shear off, my dad picked it up and didn't notice it as it wasn't that bad yet.

I had the same experience as the OP. I brought my truck in for a service just before the warranty expired and asked them to check the brakes because of this issue.

They said the rotors were warped and wanted $270 to machine them and change the pads. I've done brakes more times than I can count (used to club race a bmw) and dealt with warped rotors, etc... so I passed on their brake job.

When I picked the truck up... No more brake issue! They rotated the tires and I'm guessing they torqued the wheels properly. Since I don't have the issue right now, I'm not going to worry about it at this point.

OP, if I were you, the first thing I would do is to check wheel torque. If that doesn't change anything, rotate your tires (in case its an issue with one of the tires - this is unlikely, but why not try it)? If you still have issues, then its either warped rotors, a caliper hanging up, or some combination of factors and you need a brake job.

    Good point.

The car that taught me this lesson had thin rotors. Retorquing would help. Unfortunately there, the damage was done and the vibes would come back with some use. The heavier (and better?) Taco rotors might true up with proper torque.
