    When were you at MOCC MED? I was a DS at TSC Sigonella from '96-'98. Did that TSC/MOCC move from the trailers to the hard site building.

    That fire burned for 4 days... what a mess... what a loss. I served on her sister ship (USS Bataan) as the DCA. Repair availability brings an inherent danger; open flame and spark are everywhere. This type of fire is every DC man's nightmare. I will say this: the construction work on this class of ship had major quality control issues. During my tour on Bataan, I found dozens of welds on critical system either incomplete or of such poor quality, system integrity was subject to failure.

    My heart goes out to our shipmates, and I hope that the "Bonnie Dick" makes a speedy recovery.
