You have to use any leveling compound? That's what I need to do to finish up the last room.

Make sure you get some actual samples in hand to see before ordering. We looked at like 300 different samples at different stores and I didn’t see one where the online picture looked like the actual floor. Also if you have stairs look at the price for the bullnose stair parts. Even after the 10% price matching it was $750 in trim to do 2 stairwells. We went with Shaw Pantheon HD Plus. I should pick it up Monday, so I will let you know how it goes in a few weeks.

I would love to use some leveling compound. But I am blessed with some wonderful 1970 particle board subfloors. Not OSB, legit particle board which doesn’t get along with moisture. So I didn’t think the leveling compound would play nicely. I’ve had to pull some and just replace with plywood, other dips I plan to add thin plywood on top and sand down to be level. The particle board is such a pain, and I would pull it and just replace with plywood. But it’s actually in pretty good shape.

Yep, in South Carolina  I am not rich enough for Belgrade. We are looking into buying some land out west somewhere, just don’t know where.

Who has an angle grinder or giant bolt cutters that can cut a braided steel cable ~1/2"? I went to rotate my tires tonight and ... looks like I am locked away from my spare due to some mag chloride getting into the lock core. I just need to swing by and use it for ... 5 min(?)

Bolt cutter is probably going to be easiest. Where are you located?

About to go meet the inspector guy at the property. I haven’t owned a home in six years so I’m ready to stop this renting BS.

Not sure, are you bringing beer and a camper for when dirt gets into my eyes while laying under the truck?
